I think that you are the first person on this site to port a music video.

Tengoku no Naka Kara Hibana

This curious adaptation is seen very rarely because so few have actually unlocked its powers. Zero cost skills are a no-no. This will need to cost -1.

Lighting The Fuse 照明ヒューズ

No more than once a day and three times per week, the User may roll a 1d50. The User must land on 1-10. In order to roll, the User must engage in either a personal training thread or a training thread with another Hanabi dedicated to trying to unlock the Tengoku no Naka Kara Hibana. For every 250 words, the User may subtract 1 side from the roll. In the event of an unsuccessful roll, 5 sides will be added and the User must try again at a later time.

Cost: 0 Taken at Character Creation

This doesn't need to be a separate skill. Just roll it in with "Heart of the Hanabi".

Activated Effects

Flame-burst: Radiance*

Upon activation, and each time Tengoku no Naka Kara Hibana is activated, the User suffers 170 point drop in Health, Chakra, and Stamina.

Requirement: Flame-burst: Polarization Rank 4; Level 80

Cost: -5

Skills cannot directly effect opponents, so inflicting those status effects for free is a no go. Also, is the loss of stats permanent or and activation cost? I'm going to tell you right now that a permanent loss of stats is a bad idea. You would be losing 5 level's worth of stats if you want these decreases to be a permanent thing.

Flame-burst: Fusion*

By learning to control and focus the shower of sparking colors that flies from their heart, a Hanabi can increase the strength of their Taijutsu and Firework element techniques.

Rank 1: Taijutsu and Basic Attacks are considered to have the elemental tag [Firework], and may apply elemental bonus as such. Any physical attack, [Taijutsu, Ninjutsu or Basic Attack], with the elemental tag [Firework] deals 10% more base damage. Every time the User uses a “Element: Firework” technique, they receive 10% base damage, spread over two turns in “Burn” damage.

Requirements: Level 5, Flame-burst: Radiance, Rank 1

Cost: -2

Rank 2: Taijutsu and Basic Attacks are considered to have the elemental tag [Firework], and may apply elemental bonus as such. Any physical attack, [Taijutsu, Ninjutsu or Basic Attack], with the elemental tag [Firework] deals 20% more base damage. Every time the User uses a “Element: Firework” technique, they receive 20% base damage, spread over two turns in “Burn” damage.

Requirements: Level 25, Flame-burst: Radiance, Rank 2

Cost: -2

Rank 3: Taijutsu and Basic Attacks are considered to have the elemental tag [Firework], and may apply elemental bonus as such. Any physical attack, [Taijutsu, Ninjutsu or Basic Attack], with the elemental tag [Firework] deals 30% more base damage. Every time the User uses a “Element: Firework” technique, they receive 30% base damage, spread over two turns in “Burn” damage.

Requirements: Level 45, Flame-burst: Radiance, Rank 3

Cost: -3

Rank 4: Taijutsu and Basic Attacks are considered to have the elemental tag [Firework], and may apply elemental bonus as such. Any physical attack, [Taijutsu, Ninjutsu or Basic Attack], with the elemental tag [Firework] deals 40% more base damage. Every time the User uses a “Element: Firework” technique, they receive 40% base damage, spread over two turns in “Burn” damage.

Requirements: Level 65, Flame-burst: Radiance, Rank 4

Cost: -4

Rank 5: Taijutsu and Basic Attacks are considered to have the elemental tag [Firework], and may apply elemental bonus as such. Any physical attack, [Taijutsu, Ninjutsu or Basic Attack], with the elemental tag [Firework] deals 50% more base damage. Every time the User uses a “Element: Firework” technique, they receive 50% base damage, spread over two turns in “Burn” damage.

Requirements: Level 85, Flame-burst: Radiance, Rank 5

Cost: -5

The wording on these skills is really confusing. First of all, you can just say "[Firework] Taijutsu, Ninjutsu and Basic attacks deal X% more base damage." As for the second part of the skill, I think that you're trying to say that when a character with these skills use a [Firework] jutsu burns themselves. If that's the case, just say: "[Firework] Taijutsu, Ninjutsu and Basic attacks deal X% more base damage, but the user takes X% of the base damage as burn damage over two turns." I would also cost these at -1, -1, -2 and -2.

Flame-burst: Polarization*

Like a firework that dances upon the nighttime sky, the Hanabi are swift on their feet and quick with their reflexes. Through concentrated effort, a Hanabi is able emit a wave of shooting light from their entire body. This light acts as a shield against certain elements, while increasing the Hanabi’s ability to move and evade oncoming assaults.

Rank 1: Speed and Evasion are increased by 5% of base. All incoming physical Fire and/or Lightning techniques are reduced by 10% of base damage. The User takes 10% more base damage from Water based techniques. The effects of drowning last 1 turn longer and deal 1.1x more damage

Requirement: Level 10; Flame-burst: Fusion Rank 1

Cost: -3

Rank 2: Speed and Evasion are increased by 10% of base. All incoming physical Fire and/or Lightning techniques are reduced by 20% of base damage. The User takes 20% more base damage from Water based techniques. The effects of drowning last 3 turns longer and deal 1.2x more damage

Requirement: Level 30; Flame-burst: Fusion Rank 2

Cost: -3

Rank 3: Speed and Evasion are increased by 15% of base. All incoming physical Fire and/or Lightning techniques are reduced by 30% of base damage. The User takes 30% more base damage from Water based techniques. The effects of drowning last 5 turns longer and deal 1.3x more damage

Requirement: Level 50; Flame-burst: Fusion Rank 3

Cost: -4

Rank 4: Speed and Evasion are increased by 20% of base. All incoming physical Fire and/or Lightning techniques are reduced by 40% of base damage. The User takes 40% more base damage from Water based techniques. The effects of drowning last 7 turn longer and deal 1.4x more damage

Requirement: Level 70; Flame-burst: Fusion Rank 4

Cost: -5

Rank 5: Speed and Evasion are increased by 25% of base. All incoming physical Fire and/or Lightning techniques are reduced by 50% of base damage. The User takes 50% more base damage from Water based techniques. The effects of drowning last 9 turn longer and deal 1.5x more damage

Requirement: Level 90; Flame-burst: Fusion Rank 5

Cost: -6

These should be re-formatted to grant a 1.1X, 1.2X, etc. bonus to the stats, it's much cleaner that way. Also, and this is simply a personal suggestion, I would replace all mentions of "physical damage" with "non-ghost damage" I think it looks cleaner and fits into the system better.

*Ranks do NOT stack.

*May not go beyond 1.5x

I would reccomend that you don't color the 'body' text of your creations. This is kind of killer on the eyes in Graphite, lol.

You never really define what the "firework" element is. Is there a skill for it? All elemental combinations need a skill like the ones on the main site. If there is, link it. If there is not, you will need to make one.

Posted

Okay, first step is that all of this...

Also, at level 30, the User’s Specialty will be Fire or Lightning, a 1d2 will be rolled to decide which. At level 80, the User’s second Specialty will be Fire or Lightning, which ever was not obtained at level 30.

Activation:

10% total Chakra to activate, 5% total chakra per turn for upkeep

May be activated/Deactivated in the Set-up or Main Phase

During activation, all advanced regeneration skills are suspended.

Should be in a skill somewhere. For instance, I would create a "cornerstone" skill that IS your bloodline. When this cornerstone skill is activated, you gain the effects of all of the other "active" abilities. Example:

Fire Ass Porcupine Bloodline of Exotic Repremand

Description: <poof>

Effect: 10% total Chakra to activate, 5% total Chakra per following turn upkeep. All "Active" bloodline skills of Tengoku no Naka Kara Hibana may be accessed as long as this skill is active. May be activated/deactivated in the setup or main phase. During activation, all advanced regeneration skills are suspended. In addition, at level 30 the user of this bloodline will gain the Fire or Lightning specialty, a 1d2 will be rolled to decide which. At level 80, the user’s second Specialty will be Fire or Lightning, which ever was not obtained at level 30.

Flame-burst: Radiance

Is this giving access to the combinatorial skill? As in, they can take the skill or they can now just use firework techniques? The only avenue to using an element is through its combinatorial skill, so if that is what you want you must give that skill for free. I would highly suggest that you just let them take it normally though.

Heart of the Hanabi; May not break the rank rule. Just to keep that in mind.

Polarization; I think you should still be hurt by the firework element, otherwise as stacking with the other ranks you're just canceling out the negative. On another note, I REALLY don't like getting 1.5x on two stats, ESPECIALLY speed. This isn't even their specialty. Before I advise anything more, I want your input.

Posted

Heart of the Hanabi: Noted :)

Polarization: This only defends against fire and lightning elements, firework elements still damage as normal. I shall change the increments in which the evasion and speed are increased. Instead of increasing by 1.1x at rank 1, it shall inscease by 1.05. Rank two will increase by 1.1, and ect until at rank 5 it will increase by 1.25x as a max. Will that suffice?
