Anonymous Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 (edited) Sewing Needle Weapon Type: Senbon Size: Small Level: -- Special: Façade , Trained Fine Point , Eye of a Needle Description: A small needle used commonly for sewing together garments and cloth. Though not a regular weapon, the sewing needle is a perfect replacement for regular senbon when a ninja does not want to be recognized. A group sewing needles arouse no unwanted attention whereas senbon would cause a second glance. Cost: $5 per FaçadeEffect: This weapon deals no base damage, however the user may choose to allow it to be affected by damage modifiers. Description: Some ninja choose to use weapons which, in themselves, are not even powerful enough to be considered weapons under normal circumstances. However, if a ninja has been trained thoroughly in the use of such weapons, it is a simple matter to adjust their fighting style and make mediocre weapons deadly. Trained Fine PointEffect: This weapon is considered to be a Shinjutsu Senbon, without the effects of a Shinjutsu Senbon. Description: With such a fine point, this weapon makes a fine substitute for the rare acupuncture needles sold only in large cities. With a certain amount of effort, the user may use the weapon as though it were the acupuncture needle in both medical and offensive uses. Both inside and outside of battle, having such a weapon helps the Shinjutsu specialist with their craft. Eye of a NeedleEffect: Wires or Chakra Strings my be attached to this weapon Description: One advantage The seamstress's needle holds over a normal senbon is the addition of a small hole at the tail end which allows the user to affix a length of thin string or wire to the senbon, a feat before not easily done. ((Tee Hee, It looks all pretty. Yeah, I realized that having to pay $120 per small weapon for a weapon I was going to be abusing on a turn-by-turn basis wasn't feasible, so welcome to the cheap-o version. )) Edited December 5, 2007 by Anonymous
Eechi-go Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Small weapons are not allowed to have attributes.
Azure Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Clarification: Do you mean full damage mods, not the Range-Mods?
Eechi-go Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Nevermind, I just got clarification. Anyway, these weapons already recieve ranged weapon mods anyway, so the first is pointless. The third is also for roleplay, so you don't need to include it. Just buy one of those senbon you just linked.
Anonymous Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 Ranged Mods. There was a rule that things which deal no base damage don't get modifier. And the other ones are horribly priced for small weapons.
Eechi-go Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Yes, if you want to include attributes on small weapons, they cost alot. You have to keep that in mind when you make them.
Anonymous Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 Exactly. Which is why I am making this cheap-o attribute-less version.
Eechi-go Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Well, hold on, when you say it counts as a Shinjutsu Senbon, does that mean it also has the effects, or just the name?
Anima Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I assume it means jutsu that require the use of Shinjutsu Senbon can use these instead.
Fluffywerewolf Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Just to point out... Its sewing, not sowing.
Azure Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Cost is going to be raised more than $1 for sure if it gets the effects of the Shinjutsu Senbon. I'm thinking at least $20. At the minimum.
Azure Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Trained Fine Point ability needs to be elaborated then. The way I took it, this weapon is considered to be that linked weapon. Unless you mean the name only, then you should really saw so.
Eechi-go Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I still think you need to increase the cost to $20-$30, do that.
Anonymous Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 It is basically an effectless, damageless, small weapon. Why should it cost so much? Upped it to 10
Azure Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 $5 would work. After having a discussion with Eechi, we've come to that conclusion.
Eechi-go Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 -Thought we were keeping it at $10- Either way, approved once changes are made.
