cntrstrk14 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Secret Alchem Style; Exhaustion Seal (Alchem Hijutsu; Shoukougokuin)Type: Ninjutsu (Lighting + Fire + Earth)Rank: SenninCost: 150x ChakraDamage: 150x Stamina/Chakra DamageEffects: Each cylinder may target a separate opponent and a separate stat. Each cylinder may only target stamina or chakra, not both. User chooses which it targets at time of use. All of these attacks are unmodified, as applies to all stamina or chakra damage. Maximum of four cylinders can be made.Description: Through his struggle to achieve peaceful results of battles and avoid unnecessary death, Alchem Syaoran has developed a technique in which the user tries to deplete their opponent of their reserves. After a series of seals, the users creates a number of steel cylinders from the material around them via Alchemy. Each cylinder has one of two seals on an end, one for targeting chakra and the other for stamina. These cylinders will float around the user for a second before flying towards the opponent and breakneck speeds. Upon impact, an electrical charge will erupt into the target, sapping the energy directly from their body and draining it into the cylinder. After its use the cylinder will linger for a moment before bursting into a mixture of Iron, Manganese, Vanadium and Tungsten, leaving the stamina or chakra drained lost forever.Restrictions:- Alchemy- Elemental Specialty; Fire- Elemental Specialty; Earth- Elemental Specialty; LightningPoints: 12Secret Alchem Style; Carbon Shield (Alchem Hijutsu; Kabon Toku)Type: Ninjutsu (Earth + Fire + Lightning)Rank: SenninCost: x Chakra; Maximum of 900 ChakraDamage: n/aEffects: Creates a shield in front of the user with x + the user's ninjutsu modifier HP. May be used to block any incoming physical damage in a single turn. Any damage going over the shield's HP flows over to the targeted person. If all damage from the physical attack is blocked by this shield, all effects of said jutsu are blocked as well. May be used in the Response Phase, user loses Main Phase if so. May be used to block an incoming attack for an ally if the user's turn falls between the opponent's and the intended target's turns. May be used twice per battle.Description: Through his continued use of Alchemy, Alchem Syaoran has developed a new style of shield jutsu. While using this jutsu he forms an alchemic reaction in the ground or material nearby to create a thick circular shield of carbon via fire and earth manipulation. Along the edges of this circle of carbon will be placed a series of magnets that are then used to hold the shield aloft. The user will create a magnetic field around the shield, manipulating the magnets upon it to hold it up, and float the shield to its intended placed. Depending on the amount of focus and chakra used within this technique, the shield can be as weak and soft as pencil lead or as strong and hard as a diamond.Restrictions:- Elemental Specialty; Fire- Elemental Specialty; Earth- Elemental Specialty; LightningPoints: 13
Kouta Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 I know I was never allowed to choose whether my effects targeted Chakra or Stamina. I'd like to see the same in you. I'd prefer if you'd state one or the other, and create a second jutsu to target the leftover stat.
cntrstrk14 Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 Well the choosing part was what required it to really be sennin status, given a Hijutsu title and the need for 3 specialties. I would rather keep it as one technique, maybe up the JP cost of it a bit instead?
Atlas Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 While it may not matter, that seems realistic in my eyes. Like the techs Cntr.
Kouta Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 (edited) I'm looking at it from this perspective though: What point is a requirement if you already have achieved the requirement upon creation, and nobody else will ever get the jutsu? You already have all those specialties, and are already in the alchem clan. Those become, to me, as moot as a person with sealed genjutsu lowering their genjutsu to 0 in order to get an effect. If you really want the choice, I think I can settle for 160x per and 10 JP. Also ,in the last jutsu, just to be kosher..change physical to Non-Genjutsu. Unless you can devise some other damage type that isn't physical. Edited February 26, 2008 by Kouta
cntrstrk14 Posted February 26, 2008 Author Posted February 26, 2008 Well then should all requirements be completely moot then? Because otherwise its really just a matter of time when you make the technique. Had I come up with this technique before I had achieved the requirements would it have been approved? Many clan jutsu have gotten away with slightly higher effects just because they require you to be in the clan and have the bloodline. That can be achieved at level 0. With three specialty requirements it means you necessarily have to be level 100, so it cannot be learned early like other Sennin jutsu. Also, instead of splitting it into two techniques, can I not just up the cost to 12 JP and save myself an eyesore on my character sheet? (400 chakra max can be spent, so one of them would cost 6 JP) As for the second one, I say physical because then there is not confusion when hybrid Genjutsu techniques are used. I can instead clarify as 'Non ghost damage', but that could be taken to mean stat damage as well, and it also just takes on the opposite meaning of physical damage, since the only types of damage to HP are physical and ghost.
Kouta Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Up the cost to 150x instead of 100x, and I'll approve with the choice in it. I'd like you to keep the requirements there, though, in the off chance that you ever get your daughter and whore her out to seventeen men and rebirth your clan.
cntrstrk14 Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 Changed, and also added a third jutsu.
Rei Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 (edited) Approved; pyro. I move to restrict Tony to creating one Spark-esk Jutsu per month.. Edited February 29, 2008 by Rei
Kouta Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Hmm..random question that popped into my head... What with syaoran constantly saving the world with his reality hacking skills, when did he find the time to make up jutsu?
Warr Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Hmm..random question that popped into my head...What with syaoran constantly saving the world with his reality hacking skills, when did he find the time to make up jutsu? Midbattle? When does Kouta or any other character do it? In their free time or midbattle. Just because he doesn't RP doing it doesn't mean he doesn't or won't. Nothing says he's going to take this the second he gets it approved. Speaking of which; Approved
cntrstrk14 Posted March 8, 2008 Author Posted March 8, 2008 As an answer to Kouta's question, I always have Syaoran studying/reading in RP, between fighting or any other free time he gets unlike many of my other scholar/sage skill taking friends. So he is always thinking of new strategies to fight with and developing techniques. It just so happens that he does not get to test these ideas until mid-battle because of lack of official training time. He will usually go off and try a technique once or twice in free time to assure it works though, but thats only a needed like four or five minutes to walk off and do that. Sidenote @ Warr: I actually cannot take ALL of them, the final once I haven't met all of the requirements
