Rilon Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 (edited) ~History~ Background: Seiji was too young to remember, but at one time during his infancy he slept in the finest crib ever created by Machinist hands in the royal bed chambers of Cogmaster Kin. Kin chose to send Seiji away into Konoha after learning that none of the Kizai royalty had been exposed to the outside world for over seven hundred years. This choice would serve to explain why Seiji looks nothing at all like his "mother" or "father" or "sister". Raised in Konohagakure no Sato from the age of five months, Seiji was left in the care of a retired chuunin instructor, and his herbalist wife. From an early age, Seiji enjoyed his father's stories of battle and the different tests that the academy students from Konoha had to weather to earn their stripes as a ninja. Seiji would often hint at his desire to be enrolled in the Konohagakuren Academy throughout his childhood, yet his father's response was always lukewarm. First his father worried about Seiji's innate clumsiness, then he worried about Seiji's unusual chakra manipulation system, finally his Seiji's father dissuaded him from ever enrolling in the academy by telling him about the NCIA and their methods of conducting business. After hearing about the NCIA and their deplorable control over the ninja world, Seiji vowed he would never become a ninja so long as he live. After this vow, as Seiji grew older he developed an intense curiosity for all things mechanical. After much begging and pleading with his parents, Seiji was allowed to build a small shack outside the family's main house that he could use a s a workshop. It was in this workshop that Seiji would spend the majority of many years of his youth, building things, breaking things, blowing things up, lighting various decorations and body parts on fire, and finally finding the key to his birth right. He read everything he could get his hands on about machines, finally he exhausted the Konohan library's works on tinkering and machinery yet still he yearned to know more. One night as Seiji slept peacefully, the gears of war were turning. The next morning, Seiji went to his workshop to continue his work on a project. His mother was due to deliver a child any day now and Seiji had decided to create a mechanical hand that she could use to reach items around the room without leaving her bed. He had almost finished the final stress tests and his workshop was littered with gears, cogs, and scraps of metal. Suddenly the door was flung open and Seiji's father rushed in. It's starting! The doctor was called immediately. The medical ninja rushed to the house and helped to deliver a perfectly healthy baby girl. Seiji, wiped the tears of joy from his eyes as he looked down at his baby sister. Her hair was dark, like his parent's and her eyes were blue, her skin was pale as liquid paper. The young Machinist felt a strong hand clasp on his shoulder, it guided him out of his mother's bedroom and into the dining room. Dad, what's the matter? Seiji, I need to be honest with you. You're not my son. You were brought to us by a man named Daisuke, when you were only four months old. He told us your father loved you very much but he wanted to you see a world beyond what his father and his father's father had seen. He left you this, told me to keep it until you were old enough to understand. His father reached into his pocket and drew out a ring. The ring was designed to mimic the spokes of a cog. Seiji took it gently and slipped it onto the ring finger of his left hand. As soon as the ring touched his skin, the cog began a lazy spin. Seiji opened his mouth to speak, just as he was about to formulate a sentence an explosion rocked the foundations of the house. In a split second, Seiji's father reacted, running over to the door to the street and flinging it open. Outside the streets were filled with chaos, uniformed ranks of NCIA ninja scattered under a hail of fireballs and lightning strikes. Seiji! Take your mother and sister! Run! The door slammed as Seiji's father ran into the fray. Seiji was so stunned that all he could do was gaping at the portal. Somewhere on the second floor a window smashed. Seiji snapped out of his stunned state and rushed into his mother's room. Wrapping his arms around her shoulders for support, the three limped slowly out of the back door. Yells and screams came from every direction, citizens were fleeing in every direction as a group of ninja clashed against the NCIA. Please Seiji, we need to hide. Seiji looked around, his workshop was several yards away and seemed undamaged. The three began to walk towards the workshop, suddenly, an NCIA operative flickered into existence in front of them. The man raised his hand to stop the trio. Instantly, Seiji's father appeared behind the NCIA officer, he wore a Konohan Hitai-ate and an NCIA vest with a large slash across the NCIA insignia. He moved so fast Seiji could barely follow his hands as he drew a katana and stabbed the officer through the chest. The man gurgled and fell forward, almost immediately a stream of fire burned a patch of the earth behind Seiji's father. Seiji's father nodded to his adopted son, then flickered off to fight his new foe. Seiji and his mother and sister rushed the last five yards into the workshop, slamming the door behind them. The trio was breathing hard after their encounter with the officer. Seiji ran to the back wall of his workshop and grabbed a heavy wrench off the wall. He took up a post near the door, the wrench held over his head, ready to attack. Seiji's mother sat in the corner of the room, trying to soothe her newborn daughter. Suddenly the door was flung open and a figure stepped in, Seiji swung at the back of the smaller person's head, letting a blood curdling, adrenaline fueled yell escape his lips. The figure turned with super-human speed, knocking the wrench from Seiji's hand before striking him in the stomach with an open palm. Seiji felt his breath escape from his body, as he doubled over, Seiji was able to see the veins that bulged around the figure's white eyes. The smaller man wore an NCIA vest with the signet of a Gennin ironed to the shoulder. He turned to Seiji, raising an eyebrow before launching a kick that sent the Kizai spiraling across the room. Your Tenketsu are very strange. No matter, I am an NCIA agent, I saw you resist apprehension by another officer earlier. You are guilty of high-treason, I will carry out your sentence: death. Seiji's blood boiled. The Hyuuga took a step towards Seiji's mother, Seiji's sister began to cry. Another step, Seiji still couldn't breathe, his body was in excruciating pain. Another step, the Hyuuga reached out and stroked Seiji's little sister's cheek. The ring on Seiji's hand began to spin so fast a whirring noise cut through the infant's cries. Seiji tried to lift himself off of the ground, as he did his hands brushed. The chakra coils that pulsed through Seiji completed their circuit for the first time. The Hyuuga's hand raised into the air, forming an open palm. The gears on the floor, rattled and spun. Shh, it will all be over soon. The gears on the floor flew into the air, zipping towards Seiji's prone figure. The Hyuuga's hand rushed towards its target. The crunch of bones breaking tore through the air as the infant's screams suddenly stopped. Seiji stood next to the Hyuuga, his hand coated in a layer of dormant gears. In his clenched fist, the Hyuuga's hand bled. The NCIA Gennin turned his head to the simple boy. His figure now stood covered in a layer of armor of interlocking gears, at each one of Seiji's joints the gears formed complex patterns to strengthen his movements. Not only that, the chakra pouring off of the boy was blinding to the Hyuuga, the two chakra coils inside Seiji surged with power, a power passed downed through thousands upon thousands of years, the power of kings. Don't you ever lay a hand on my family. The Hyuuga didn't even have time to scream. Seiji's movements were faster than lightning, the Machinist reached up and grabbed the Hyuuga's skull. Pivoting, Seiji threw the Gennin across the room. Before the Hyuuga could even hit the wall, Seiji had stepped in front of him, swinging at the NCIA officer's chest with a mechanized punch. The blow connected with such force that the shattering of the Hyuuga's spinal chord could be heard from outside the workshop. The NCIA Gennin lay crumpled on the floor, as the veins on his face relaxed back to their normal size. Seiji stepped over to his mother, lifting her in his arms he carried her from Konoha into the great forest that surrounds the city. Sunshine caressed the Kizai's face. Seiji opened his eyes and looked around, he lay in a glade his head resting against a tree root. His mother and sister slept near by. Seiji. Are you ok? I found you unconscious with your mother and sister in this clearing. You were surrounded by bits and pieces of machinery. Seiji's father knelt over him, his brows knitted in concern. Seiji explained what had happened the previous day. His father sat down and breathed a heavy sigh. Seiji and his family lived in the woods for another week before returning to the city. During the second assault on the NCIA, Seiji and his family again returned to hiding in the woods. After the NCIA was removed from Konoha, Seiji enrolled in the gennin program, with his father's blessing. Seiji hopes that through working as a ninja he might find out more about his heritage and protect people from the injustice that his family almost suffered. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edited August 28, 2009 by Rilon

Rilon Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 (edited) ~Skills~ Skill Point Tally: 27/30 Remaining Skill Points: 3 Skills: Positive~~~~~ Mechanical Menagerie Bloodline: Jidouka Description: As a Machinist grows in power, they learn how to send unique signals out with the chakra pulses used to command an automaton. The frequencies and rates of these improved pulses can send unique command patterns to several automatons simultaneously, allowing the Machinist to control multiple automatons simultaneously. Effect: For each rank in this skill, the Machinist may use an additional automaton in battle and roleplay. Each automaton must still be upgraded, created, and equipped individually. Cost: -1 (Rank 1) Blessing of the Makers Bloodline: Jidouka Requirements: Blood of the Makers Description: One of the unique talents of the Kizai Royal Family is the ability to created Automatons that "learn" processing events and predicting future, present, and past outcomes through algorithms. As a result, the Automotan's grow more capable in battle the more that they participate in battle. While the initial learning is quick accumulation of information results in a slow down in the evolution process at higher tiers of prediction. Effect: When a mission is completed the Cogprince may sacrifice X% the base, unmodified, experience the Cogprince has earned. The Automaton gains X% of the words posted to complete the mission towards a modification. Cost: -1 Skill Name: Master Engineer Bloodline: Kizai Description: Some Kizai, whether through work or through talent, rise above their brothers and sisters and reach a caliber of engineering almost unheard of in the ninja world. These engineers are able to create vast numbers of powerful (and sometimes useless) machinations over night. Effect: Reduces the amount of posts required to install an automaton part and to modify an automaton by one. The amount of posts required to install a part or modify an automaton may never be reduced below one. In addition, for each rank in this skill your Spark of Life jutsu increases your automaton's life force by an additional 2%. Cost: -1 per rank (5 ranks) Rank 5/5 (-5) Blood of the Makers Bloodline: Jidouka, Personal: Kizai Seiji Description: The Cogmasters of the Kizai carry a special power in their already potent blood. It was Kizai Ikura who created an Automaton before the ninja villages that still exists to this day. Ikura's blood runs thick in his descendants and lends them some of the ancient power of the Makers of Tansha. Effect: Allows the taker of this skill to use the Grand Machination element. This element is treated as Automation for all intents and purposes including bloodline regeneration skills. Cost: 1 Skill Name: The Path of the Scholar Description: Although quite rare, a few Ninja proceed down the path of the scholar, spending a lot of time in research and in trying to understand the world around them. These Ninja are not to be underestimates, however,as they can be quite deadly. Effect: Character gains 1 extra Jutsu Point per level Scholarly Mastery: Choose Two: -May gain 2 ranks of 'Scribe' for 1 skill point. -May gain 2 ranks of 'Merchant' for 1 skill point. Cost: -1 Restriction: Character may not have more than +2 points of Hindering Traits. Skill Name: Automaton Creator Bloodline: Jidouka Description: The art of creation is one learned by many of the Machinists. It has been their birthright to bring life to the inanimate, so their ability to create machinations was acquired quite naturally. Effect: Allows the possessor of this skill to create Automatons. Automatons have the follow rules. - An Automaton's turn is always taken after its Machinists' - An Automaton may never learn skills or techniques - Automatons may never use their own jutsu, parts, or attacks. In order for them to use said abilities, their Machinist must use the proper command jutsu - Automatons may never be effected by genjutus - If their Machinist is killed, or rendered unable to act, the Automaton will skip its next turn unless a multi-turn command jutsu is still in effect. - An Automaton may never be effected by Afraid, Asleep, Blind, Bleeding, Bruised, Burned, Clobbered, Cold Confused, Deafened, Disorganized, Distracted, Dizzy, Enraged, Fazed, Frostbite, Hypothermic, Impaired Eyesight, Impaired Hearing, Impaired Smell, Impaired Touch, Induced regeneration, Metabolic Breakdown, Metabolic Shock, Petrified, Scared, Sickened, Startled, Stunned, Terrified, Tired, or Vulnerable. - Created Automatons have a base life force value they will be animated with regardless of how much chakra is used with "Spark of Life" to animate them. - For every 10 posts you make in creating an Automaton, your Automaton gains 100 points to be distributed between the follow stats. Life Force: Reduced when an Automaton takes damage or its Machinist has it use a jutsu Cogcraft: For every 20 points in this stat, ninjutsu used through an Automaton that results in an elemental, or jutsu attack deals 5 more damage, and has +1% to hit Gearwork: For every 20 points in this stat, ninjutsu commands that result in the Automaton using a basic attack or a physical attack part deals 5 more damage and has +1% to hit. *The Damage and Accuracy bonuses from these skills may not exceed the caps for the Machinist's ninja rank* - After the initial post for creating the Automaton has been made, the Automaton may not gain any more stat points or have a part added unless the Automaton Modification skill has been learned. Cost: 1 Skill Name: Automaton Modification Bloodline: Jidouka Description: After learning how to create an Automaton, the Machinist's next task is learning how to modify, improve, and build upon their unique creation. Effect: - Requires Automaton Creator - An Automaton may have parts installed, just like a puppet. However, puppet parts may never be installed on Automatons and vice versa. - Automatons have ten static installation hard points (Head, Torso, Hands, Feet, Legs, Arms) and may never gain more. - Automaton parts will have a "Technical Complexity" equal to 1.25x where X is the part's rarity value. - Automaton parts will also have a rarity rating, this number replaces the monetary cost that would be assigned to an Automaton part based on its damage, effects, level, etc. (E.g. If an Automaton part is created that would cost $400, it would have a rarity rating of 400. If the part would cost $2500 it has a rarity rating of 2500) - Automaton parts may not be created or bought, they are found using the "Scrap Hunter" skill. - To modify an Automaton, you must make a post equal to X words where X is the total number of stat points your Automaton has, once you have completed this post, your Automaton gains an additional 100 points to distribute as you choose. - To remove or install an Automaton part you must make a post equal to the part's "Technical Complexity" Cost: 2 Skill Name: Scrap Hunter Bloodline: Jidouka Description: When the Grand City of Tansha was destroyed, millions of Automaton parts were scattered all over the world. The Modern age Jidouka, not having access to the Tansha archives where the records of part creation were kept, have become well versed in sifting through piles of scrap metal to find a usable part. Effect: - Choose five Automaton parts you would like a chance to find. - Pay $5 for necessary equipment, rations, permissions, etc. - Assign each part a number between 2 and 6 on a d6. - Make a post with a word number equal to or greater than the combined rarity values of the parts you are hunting for. - Roll the d6, find the part that corresponds to the number you rolled. If you roll a 1, you find nothing - Remove that part from the die, you may either choose another part to assign or keep that value blank. If you choose to keep the value blank, your combined rarity value will decrease, but rolling that number again will result in your finding nothing. Cost: 1 Irregular Chakra Flow Although the Jidouka is very well suited for Automation type techniques, it lacks in efficiency when dealing with traditional jutsu based around the three-hundred-sixty-one tenketsu. Rank 1: As long as an Automation type jutsu was used last round your base chakra recovery for the next round is increased to 5%. If an Automation type jutsu wasn't used last round your base chakra recovery is reduced to 7% on the next round you would normally recover chakra. This suspends any positive chakra recovery effects until the round where you only regain 7% chakra has passed. A Kizai with this skill, and all other ranks of this skill may never take any skills that would alter their chakra recovery (Such as chakra flow). Requirements: Character Creation Cost: -1 Rank 2: As long as an Automation type jutsu was used last round your base chakra recovery for the next round is increased to 7.5%. If an Automation type jutsu wasn't used last round your base chakra recovery is reduced to 5% on the next round you would normally recover chakra. This suspends any positive chakra recovery effects until the round where you only regain 5% chakra has passed. Requirements: Level 10 Cost: -2 Rank 3: As long as an Automation type jutsu was used last round your base chakra recovery for the next round is increased to 10%. If an Automation type jutsu wasn't used last round your base chakra recovery is reduced to 1% on the next round you would normally recover chakra. This suspends any positive chakra recovery effects until the round you only regain 1% chakra has passed. Requirements: Level 25 Cost-3 Unbalanced Algorithm Because of the abnormal chakra circulatory system possessed by the Kizai, sealing their chakra becomes extraordinarily difficult. Rank 1: Gennin rank techniques that would render ninjutsu unusable have a 50% chance to fail. Requirements: Character Creation Cost: -2 Rank 2: Chuunin rank techniques that would render ninjutsu unusable have a 50% chance to fail. Gennin rank techniques may not render ninjutsu unusable. Requirements: Chuunin Rank Cost: -3 Spark of Life As a Kizai develops, their unique chakra circulatory system develops to become more efficient at utilizing their unique brand of jutsu. Rank 1: Automation type jutsu cost 10% less chakra to use. All other jutsus cost an additional 10% chakra to use. Requirements: Character Creation Cost: -1 Rank 2: Automation type jutsu cost 15% less chakra to use. All other jutsus cost an additional 20% chakra to use. Requirements: Level 20 Cost: -2 Automaton's Gift As their chakra circulatory system grows, the Kizai is able to give their creations longer lives. Rank 1: For each rank of each branch of this bloodline a Kizai has acquired. The upkeep cost of all Automation jutsus that that involve an Automaton and have in their effect the clause, "This technique is effected by Automaton's Gift", is reduced by 5% per rank of each branch. A minimum of 10% must always be paid. Requirements: Character Creation Cost: -2 ~~35% Reduction~~ Hindering~~~~~ Skill Name: Merciful Effect: Whenever you would deal the finishing blow in combat to an opponent, you must let them live with one HP left, only applies once a battle. Cost: +1 Skill Name: Poor Illusion Manipulation Bloodline: Jidouka Description: Because of the Machinist's unique chakra coil system, it is very difficult for them to maintain the subtle flow of chakra necessary to work convincing genjutsu. There has never been a Machinist who has succeeded in the slightest with rudimentary genjutsu. Effect: All Machinists MUST take this skill at character creation. A character with this skill has a 90% chance for genjutsu abilities to fail. This skill may never be overcome. In addition, all genjutsu cost quadruple JP to learn. Cost: +2 Poor Stamina Manipulation: Effect: Before using a Taijutsu technique, roll a d10. On 1or2 Jutsu fails. You may not take another action this turn, but the stamina is not lost. May not have Sealed Taijutsu Cost: +2 Skills learned from Jounins: 0/4 (These do not count towards your skill points limit. You must link to the topic in which you learned these skills. You may learn a maximum of 4 Skill Points worth of skills from a teacher.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edited February 24, 2011 by Rilon

Created from all of Seiji's heart and soul, SARAH was given sentience through Seiji's extreme emotional stake in her creation. That combined with his royal blood created a situation similar to Ikura and Daisuke. SARAH is built with perfect female proportions. What was at first just a metal shell has since been covered with synthetic skin created by Seiji during his five years of modifying SARAH. She also sports a head of long dark hair that Seiji created for her. SARAH usually wears a Konoha Hitae-ate around her head and a dark green Chuunin uniform complete with vest. If she is attending a dinner party or formal gathering with Seiji she favors a sparkling black evening gown. In day to day life, SARAH wears jeans and sandals with a T-shirt emblazoned with two interlocking cogs. Over the years SARAH's social skills have become impeccable, making here a huge hit around town. Obviously SARAH is never seen without Seiji. Azure Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 He was retired. Oh, now I see it, I'm sorry Rilon, I count up- not down. The way it's been done so many times is that the denominator is increased, instead of the numerator being decreased xD Approved.
