Kido
join the club, I'm still working out the kinks of my RP and won't be even half the strength of the others, no matter how many missions I burn through a day.

Rei
Can't see myself in this one or the next exam in __ months. Yamata's a mouthpiece not a fighter; she'll cause trouble throughout the fairgrounds until she gets bored and leaves.
Kouta
Aww..and here I was wishing to fight you again mael. Though true, our characters are so well matched, we'd end out fighting for weeks on end. But, regardless, I'm not holding back. I qualify and I'm competing!
Guest Yachiru
cant you get recommended to chuunin rank by the Kage or your jounin teacher?? and im totally competing after me and lemon finish our mission, got more then enough mission to compete but perfect for gaining more EXP, should be fun, alot of konoha's strong players are competing i know that,
Maelstrom
Haha, I know what you mean Kouta. Our characters would've been fighting for about a month probably. Anyway, as it is, I can see Kouta going all the way quite easily, so he's guaranteed chuunin rank. Not sure about anyone else. And Eve, technically you -can- be recommended to become a chuunin, once your character has reached the gennin cap. Or, you can simply walk into your kage's office and ask for a private test to become a chuunin. I know a lot of people did that before. Heck, I heard that a bunch of gennin got promoted after the Iwa missions too.
Guest kuratg
Meh, I don't think I'll get the mission qualifications by Saturday. I wasn't even able to get on much during Spring Break so I couldn't really work on the mission I'm involved in. Ah, well. There's always next time...Right? Guest Yachiru
its perect for me, i have spring break at the end of this week, so ill get a lot of training/missions done, mostly training though >>
Guest sasukepwnz
Mael-- actually you can not get a private chuunin exam according to some mods, nor can you be promoted at the level cap, it iss either wait or go missing
Maelstrom
Better go tell that to the people who already got promoted that way.
Guest Yachiru
Sasuke got PWNED, once more >.> just kidding, and i never read a rule where you cant gert promoted at level cap, and even if you cant, with enough admin permission ANYTHING is possible, well almost anything, and Mael im still working on the clan so it chould be done before you go missing, its just that i have a lot of work, within inside of NA and also school work, i got 5-6 quizzes and test this week and a Essay about a an Epic, but that should be easy
shizuki
Given the right circumstances, you can be promoted without taking the public exam. The circumstances are extremely extenuating, but they exist.
Maelstrom
Extenuating circumstances, eh? If that can happen then how come my character can't compete in the exams, even though he was involved in both Iwa missions? ><; Edit: Don't mean for this to sound like I'm complaining or anything, though I guess I sorta am, I'm just curious as to what the reasoning is behind this. Especially considering he's almost reached the gennin level cap. Edited March 21, 2006 by Maelstrom
Kouta
Really. I say that Mael be an exception. Albeit he'll have t do at least SOME missions, but I say we let him slide, consdiering how close he is to lvl cap, not to mention that he's an active player and a good rper to boot. shizuki
That's up to Tao Sanzo, seeing as he's the Kazekage. It's not up to the staff as a whole, but up to him. If he thinks you should be a chuunin, he can give you a little test.
Arashi
What I have seen, the requirement is that you must be admin, as only evil Suien and even more evil Drake have promoted that way. Well, don't listen to me, just kidding. Anyways, it's a shame that you are at that level and haven't the minimum missions Mael How did you do that? It can't be just training... Rei
Why was Mel not promoted to Chuunin? MD, Nix and Skiyo were all promoted after taking part in both two missions (MD was only on the second one). As I recall the staff allowed any player who'd taken part on both to be promoted to Chuunin level due to the mission difficulty.
Guest MrSako
remember that even participating in the chuunin exams doesn't 'guarantee' promotion... i will have the curse of naruto and be a 'gennin' forever
Guest sasukepwnz
Well, I think if you are really close like level 21 and up and have done like 7 or 8 D rank and a few C rank then you should be able to get promoted, that's just my opinion though.
Maelstrom
Well, I have only 2 B-rank missions under my belt, which both got me to the level I'm at now, which is around 20. Why anyone else was promoted because of those missions, I have no idea. As is, I simply think that D-rank missions are somewhat below my character, despite what rank he is. That's part of the reason why I never asked for any. Not to mention the fact that writing up 10 posts for a mission that grants you a mere 50 xp, just isn't as inticing as posting up the same amount for 100 xp or more. They should reinstate the old rule about lines granting xp in missions as well. Makes them so much more worth it. Anyway, I want to be in the exams, darnit. ><;
Matthias Drake
What I have seen, the requirement is that you must be admin, as only evil Suien and even more evil Drake have promoted that way. Well, don't listen to me, just kidding. Anyways, it's a shame that you are at that level and haven't the minimum missions Mael How did you do that? It can't be just training... =(( You don't love me? Anyway, as far as I know, the rule is this: You have to be at the level cap, and you have to have your Kage's permission. The Kage is allowed to make you do whatever (s)he wants before promoting you. It is not a staff decision. The Kage has complete control over it.
Arashi
Of course I do Drake, who do you think sends you flowers and chocolate every day? But you are still evil. Edited March 23, 2006 by Arashi
