I've tried to do stuff like that myself, but I always kind of get confused part way through. Stock photos can be really handy if you know what you're doing. Look forward to more! I'm... way, way out of practice when I put pencil to paper. I mean the sketches wind up looking alright, but I am very spoiled by being able to go back and correct lines in one simple function if I don't like how they look. Nobody has seen a Shinji pic that wasn't just Sasuke, and I kind of envision him looking similar to Sasuke because Uchiha are just that way, but he's got better hair. The other reason is because I love the way Kishimoto does backgrounds, and I decided to practice them with a reproduction of some of his stuff. I couldn't find a very big model, which made doing the more minute details of the background a horrendous pain in my nuts.
