Shizukesa Project: Musei Nijuuka [Asexual Duplication]

(Advanced System)

BLOODLINE:

For those of the Hagemasu clan participating in the Shizukesa Project.
Clan. Bloodline.

RESTRICTIONS:
-MUST be taken at level 0.
-This bloodline can never be transfused into someone who is not originally of the same blood.

EFFECTS:
-User must pay 15% of their chakra and stamina for their ‘twin' to be able to split from themselves.
-For any rules that are not specifically mentioned, the twin follows the rules for a 'clone' but is not considered a clone itself.
-Unlike clones, the 'twin' is not hit by dodged attacks directed at the 'master,' and gains its own dodge roll for attacks directed to it. Additionally, the twin's speed stat regulates how many turns it gains to it's master's turn, similar to pets.
-The ‘twin' has stats equal to 75% of the user's stats at level 0. From there on, the ‘twin' gains 60 stat points upon each level up.
-The ‘twin' knows all jutsu, skills, and bloodline skills that the original ‘master' has, and is capable of performing hand seals.
-The user may choose to ‘assimilate' their ‘twin'. Doing so takes up the user's setup phase. During the turn in which the user becomes one with their twin once more, the effects of ‘inner quake', ‘resonance', and ‘tranquility of sound' are doubled. In addition, the ninja may regenerate 10% of any tank stat of their choosing. Once the ninja has become one with their ‘twin', they cannot split again in the same battle.
-So long as another person is involved in a training, if the ‘twin' is split from the user, they count as .5 modifier towards the current training session as well.

NEGATIVES:
-'Twins' are incapable of using clone jutsu or summons.
-Regeneration of chakra and stamina is split between the ‘master' and ‘twin', therefore, if the ninja would receive a 10% regeneration, each gains 5% instead. (Rounded down)
-If the ‘twin' would receive damage from any circumstance, the ‘master' receives 25% of said damage as ghost damage. If the damage is of a genjutsu source, or somehow directly effects the mind, the ‘master' takes 50% of the damage instead. Also, vice versa, if the ‘master' takes damage, the same ratios apply to the ‘twin'.
-If the ‘twin' would be defeated in battle, the ‘master' is automatically thrown under the following status effects for one turn; ‘vulnerable', ‘stunned', and ‘immobilized.'
-If the ‘master' would be defeated in battle, the ‘twin' is automatically withdrawn, and the battle is counted as a loss, as usual.

DESCRIPTION:
The Sound Eaters have always believed their abilities to be mysterious and unquestionable, and over the centuries, no one went deeper into their abilities than to accept it. Under the leadership of Hagemasu Konsei, the Shizukesa project began to look into the true roots of their power. Konsei discovered that their hunger stemmed from a separate, local entity that also linked to their jittery movements and some Hagemasu's tendency towards insanity after records describing how some Hagemasu never hungered for sound when they were born overseas. Before, it was thought that the pressure of the sound in their bodies disrupted normal brain functions.

Studying those with the worst syndromes of impaired motor functions and madness, Konsei and fellow early Project leaders searched for the true purpose of this elusive second self. Within the first two months of the study, they have concluded that the cavernous area of Otogakure the Hagemasu populated held a strange resonation to the development of young clan members. Within these caves the Hagemasu lived in, the unique echoes of the area reacted to the strange chakra coils of the Hagemasu, birthing the sound-chakra construct of a second self that lived, without personality, within the unknowing clanspeople. Parasitic, this curious being dwells within its host, feeding off sound waves. When the entity becomes too strong for its host, the chance of falling into lunacy increased, and so did the shaky hands and inability to sit still amongst all Hagemasu.

The next months of the underground Shizukesa Project focused on furthering the sound double, and materializing the twin to exist outside of the host's body. Konsei found himself horribly unsuccessful at the feat, while his younger daughter could almost expel the whole entity in a matter of weeks. The twin, constructed mainly of sound under a shell of a flesh, appeared to coalesce with its host through the years. This meant that the Hagemasu aspect of Musei Nijuuka, Asexual Duplication, must be practiced from an early age, like flexibility. The sound Konsei consumed imprisoned his twin within him, while his daughter, Kikuya's sound double used this sound as a medium to pass into a materialized form.

As the practice of Musei Nijuuka grew, so did their knowledge. The sound double cannot be expelled and abandoned, as an unlucky clan member once tried to kill his sound double in his insanity and ultimately fell into a vegetative state. Standards were implemented, and guidance into this element of the clan's abilities allowed nearly all younger Hagemasu of Otogakure to develop awareness of this sound double. Partial expulsion of a twin is possible, albeit awkard in appearance. Those who have full mastery over their extension of self can allow their twin to pass through their bodies at will, making it a useful partner with menial chores and an invaluable ally in defending their beloved lifestyle in Otogakure.

Changed the beginning stats part. Didn't make it fixed, so the twin can take advantage of any death bonuses.

Also took the liberty to remove Resistance from the sheet!

EFFECTS:

-User must pay 15% of their chakra and stamina for their ‘twin' to be able to split from themselves.

-For all intents and purposes, the ‘twin' is considered to be a ‘large' sized pet.

This large sized pet bothers me because there are a LOT of specific pet rules that don't apply here. I would probably either create a new type to call this or not draw the parallels to pet. Either that or maybe you can juts say "For any rules that are not specifically mentioned, treat the twin as a 'large' sized pet.".... Though on further thoughts, I would almost consider this closer to a clone jutsu, but I can understand concerns with specific clone targeting techniques that should not logically apply here. Maybe something like "For any rules that are not specifically mentioned, the twin follows the rules for a 'clone' but it not considered a clone itself."

-The ‘twin' has stats equal to 75% of the user's stats at level 0. From there on, the ‘twin' gains 60 stat points upon each level up.

-The ‘twin' knows all jutsu and skills that the original it's ‘master', and is capable of performing hand seals.

Not sure if the bloodline includes anything aside this, but does this include all ranks of bloodline?

Round up or down?

-If the ‘twin' would receive damage from any circumstance, the ‘master' receives 25% of said damage as ghost damage. If the damage is of a genjutsu source, or somehow directly effects the mind, the ‘master' takes 50% of the damage instead. Also, vice versa, if the ‘master' takes damage, the same ratios apply to the ‘twin'.

-If the ‘twin' would be defeated in battle, the ‘master' is automatically thrown under the following status effects for one turn; ‘vulnerable', ‘stunned', and ‘immobilized.

-If the ‘master' would be defeated in battle, the ‘twin' is automatically withdrawn, and the battle is counted as a loss, as usual.

-Any sealing techniques, or jutsu that would affect the soul in anyway carries over to both the ‘twin' and the ‘master'.

If you change the ruling about large pets above to the clone one I suggested, this can be removed as it is covered by "- The owner of a clone is considered the user for any techniques used by the clone that have harmful effects outside of battle to the user."

-Changed the twin to act like a clone.

-Added 'knows bloodline skills of the master,' but the other bloodline skills don't affect twin-ness. [-x-]

-Rounded down the 5%.

Thanks for your feedback! =D

EDIT: After looking at clone rules, there are two points I'd like to retain as 'pet status', if that's possible.

-When using Bunshin no Jutsu, or any other clone technique, a clone is always hit if the actual person is not. So if you perform an attack and your opponent has Bunshin out and you miss them you instead hit a clone for half damage, rounded up. (I'd prefer the twin isn't automatically hit by attacks that miss the host, due to the ghost damage effect.)

-Clones gain phases every other turn that a user has, they are added onto the users own, and occur after the user’s phase. A clone's first turn is the turn after it was summoned. (I'd like the clone's speed to affect the turns it gets relative to the host, otherwise it's better to leave speed at 0)
