Truely the ultimate unification with lightning. The Denikimi or 'Lightning Body' is the bloodline and heart of the Senuskai Clan. To the Senuskai, lightning is not just an element, it is in their blood, it is a part of their own mind and body. Their chakra is yellow, a mutation due to the lightning that flows through their body. The bloodline itself once activated, begins to surround the user flowing through, in, and out of the user. It engulfs the user in lightning, then works in harmony to increase the user's control and power over lightning.

Umare Denikimi

 

The basic level of Denikimi. The lightning which passively circulates in the user's chakra system, becomes active. The lightning starts flowing through the body. The only visual sign of the bloodline is the white/yellow color of the pupil once the bloodline is activated. As lightning begins to circulate it increases the power of any lightning jutsu, but also it circulates the energy use. Using the remaining energy left from using a jutsus, the lightning circulates some of that energy and returns it back to the chakra system.

Effect
-Allows the use of other bloodline ranks.
-Lightning jutsus have a 10% chance of causing metabolic shock to opponent, if opponent is hit by a lightning jutsu. Metabolic shock last 1 turn. Does not effect ninja of higher rank than the user. Metabolic shock can not be inflicted twice in a row and does not apply to techniques that already cause Metabolic shock.
-Any offensive lightning jutsu that is used: 5% of the total damage of that jutsu is restored as chakra.(This includes critical strikes.) May not regain more than 50% of the amount spent on the jutsu.
Cost: -3sp
Requirement: Clan Membership.

Kuriage Denikimi

 

As a Senuskai develops and gain strength, so does their control of lightning. This is the most common level of Denikimi. Lightning flows actively throughout the user's body and begins to circle around their body. Sparks of lightning can be seen surrounding the senuskai. Their pupils are now yellow in color as their bloodline activates. The lightning which circulates around the shinobi and flows through the shinobi's body increases the power of lightning jutsu used. Lightning energy is also retained and circulated back into the chakra system.

Effect-
-Once per battle, the user may select a lightning jutsu and consider it a critical hit on a roll of 1-30. Does not apply to "Forbidden” or "Sealing” type/rank Jutsus. Roll can not be increased by any means.
-Lightning jutsus have a 25% chance of causing metabolic shock to opponent, if opponent is hit by a lightning jutsu. Metabolic shock last for 1 turn. Does not effect shinobi of higher rank than the user. Metabolic shock can not be inflicted twice in a row and does not apply to techniques that already cause Metabolic shock.
-Any offensive lightning jutsu that is used: 10% of the total damage of that jutsu is restored as chakra.(This includes critical strikes.) May not regain more than 50% of the amount spent on the jutsu.
-Effects do not stack with Umare Denikimi
Cost: -4sp
Requirement: Lvl 15. Umare Denikimi.

Kanzen Denikimi

 

A common level of the Denikimi found within senuskai shinobi. It is achieved by those who have trained with their bloodline, allowing them to control lightning even further. Lightning flows rapidly throughout the shinobi's body and circulates around the shinobi. Shinobi's pupil are now dark yellow in color and lightning can be seen circling the shinobi. Lightning particles are released in the air surrounding the shinobi. A senuskai shinobi has greater control over lightning and can increase the power of their lightning jutsus significantly. The lightning which flows through the user acts as an energy saver by retaining some of the energy used by lightning jutsus and returning it back to the chakra system.

Effect-
-Twice per battle, the user may select a lightning jutsu and consider it a critical hit on a roll of 1-40. Does not apply to "Forbidden” or "Sealing” type/rank Jutsus. Roll can not be increased by any means.
-Once per battle any lightning jutsu may be used as an AOE jutsu. AOE cost effects still apply. Does not apply to "Forbidden” or "Sealing” type/rank Jutsu's.
-Lightning jutsus have a 35% chance of causing metabolic shock to an opponent, if opponent is hit by a lightning jutsu. Metabolic shock last for 1 turn. Does not effect shinobi of higher rank than the user. Metabolic shock can not be inflicted twice in a row and does not apply to techniques that already cause Metabolic shock.
-Any offensive lightning jutsu that is used: 15% of the total damage of that jutsu is restored as chakra.(This includes critical strikes.) May not regain more than 50% of the amount spent on the jutsu.
-Lightning jutsus cost -2jp; to a minimum of 1.
-Taijutsu and basic attacks preformed by the shinobi are treated as 'Lightning' attacks when this is active.
-Effects do not stack with Kuriage Denikimi.
Cost: -5sp
Requirement: Chunnin Rank. Kuriage Denikimi

Oikomi Denikimi

 

The final stage in the Senuskai bloodline. Only a few shinobi have been able to completely control lightning and achieve this level. Almost a complete unification with lightning, it truely gives the name lightning body. As the bloodline is activated lightning seems to explode from the user as it violently circles and surrounds the user. A yellow aura of lightning forms around the shinobi as their pupils are now a gold color. Lightning particles are released into the environment around the shinobi allowing for lightning attacks to be more widespread. The lightning which flows through and around the shinobi increase the power of lightning jutsus. As lightning flows through, in, and out of the senuskai shinobi, it collects the remaining energy from lightning jutsus and returns it back into the chakra system.

Effect-

Does not effect shinobi of higher rank than the user. Metabolic shock can not be inflicted twice in a row and does not apply to techniques that already cause Metabolic shock.
-Any offensive lightning jutsu that is used: 20% of the total damage of that jutsu is restored as chakra.(This includes critical strikes.) May not regain more than 50% of the amount spent on the jutsu.
-Lightning jutsus cost -2jp; to a minimum of 1.
-Taijutsu and basic attacks preformed by the shinobi are treated as 'Lightning' attacks when this is active.
-Effects do not stack with Kanzen Denikimi.

Requirement: Jounin Rank. Kanzen Denikimi.

Soooooo... no. Boosting the critical hit chance like that for every lightning tech is ridiculous.

Way too much.

Personally, I think this needs to be broken down into separate branches. As is, it's somewhat difficult to read.

The Metabolic Shock aspect of the bloodline needs work. Add clauses detailing how long the effect lasts for, and I want it to be noted that it does not effect ninja of higher rank than the user, and that the effect does not stack.

Changed the format so it's easier to read. Honestly, I didn't think the critical hit was too much, but I changed it.

Also, the ranks didn't stack with each other. I guess it's just the way its formatted that makes it harder to read. So changed the formatting.

- You have to state that metabolic shock cannot be enduced two turns in a row. Also, techniques that already inflict metabolic shock do not get this ability.

- Also, you say the upkeep for each rank, but you don't mention the activation cost. I imagine its the same but it needs to be stated.

- For all the ranks, if you are going to be getting up to 3 critical strikes per battle you need to state that all of these cannot be used with Strategist or other critical strike giving abilites.

Try those two again.

Strategist

Once a battle, and only once, you may choose to have any one of your attacks become a critical hit for 1.5 times its usual damage.

If we don't allow jutsus to become auto-critical hits, then why does strategist allow it? It's not like the jutsu automatically hits, it just allows it to do critical hit damage.

Strategist is a very old skill, and a rather expensive one for the fact that it's only function is a critical hit. One critical hit per battle, and no more. It's my understanding that the staff would like to keep it the only one of it's kind.

Again, no problem with it. The staff really hasn't said anything about auto-criticals being against the rule, so it's perfectly legit. If it's really a bother, I'll change the maximum from three to two.

First: Cellar Door -is- a mod. He -is- staff. Until another staffer comes in and corrects him, which they probably won't, you shouldn't argue game mechanics. That says alot, coming from -me-. Change it to what he asked, then go ask for a second opinion. That's how the approval system works.

Second: This is an almost carbon copy of Warr and I's "Hiraishin" kekkei genkai. I'd like to see you divert from an already taken path, if you would.

Particularly combined with how this bloodline looked in it's 'previous' form. This update isn't an update on systematic powers, it's a lot more looking like an update on RP powers.

Also, 'staff' did not say any such thing, Wolfnin. I was about to reply to the Q&A thread with a statement in regards to how it's -definitely- not allowable to just add that onto a bloodline, you should just take strategist. If you want to have a chance at critical hits during battle, give it a percentile chance based on your concentration, or more aptly something like 'Consider the user's concentration 2 times it's current amount [or three times] for the purposes of critical hit modifiers.

This bloodline was made before the Haraishin bloodline. Also, this is just an update on description(to make it better) and to make it more related to lightning instead of cloud/lightning. Apologies if it seems similar, but I can assure you its not.

Honestly, three times seems fair enough to me. Also Warr, systematically it changed to by that the "restoration" part has been removed and the cloud effects of the previous bloodline have been removed as well. It's not a big overvamp though, most of it has been kept the same, so yes you are right in way. Anyways, changed it to below:

That's the final rank. It goes from Once per battle, twice per battle, then finally thrice per battle. Acceptable or does it need to be changed?

As per the Critical Chance, make a note that says this roll may not be increased by any other means. Chakra regen based on total damage should be increased by a critical strike. Thridly, the last rank should not have a three time per battle limit, I would like to see it lowered to two please. Lastly the critical strike and Aoe conversions should not be able to stack.
