Description; At first glance, Sovereign appears rather mundane as a weapon. In fact, on second and third glances, it appears much the same. Any intrigue that one might hold toward Sovereign as both weapon and tool would lie not in what it appears as, but how it was formed. Sovereign is the unique weapon of Hikari; it is a scythe formed by the enigmatic blend of Black Blood and personal chakra. When being formed by a resonance of body, spirit, and mind, Sovereign surges forth from Hikari's veins, taking weapon form almost immediately upon gracing the air with its presence. As for the appearance of the weapon itself, Sovereign possesses a long shaft whose end is met with a perpendicular emergence of two much smaller prongs- giving the black handle a cross-like appearance; upon one of these prongs lays the somewhat large, curving, blade that gives Sovereign its status as a Scythe. When wielded, Sovereign seems to leave a trailing 'whistle' that is paradoxically higher and lower than the audible presence of any other blade cutting air, as if it were truly a manifestation of Hikari's psyche.

Attributes;

Bloody Formation

Effect; 'Sovereign may only be summoned for use through the 'Screeching Resonance' ninjutsu technique. Treat 'Sovereign' as if it possessed "indestructible". If any effect would destroy or render Sovereign unusable for combat, the blade is instead removed from combat for that turn and may be re-summoned the next turn, though "Screeching Resonance" is treated as if it had an additional activation cost of 2% of Hikari's total HP. Additionally, this weapon may only ever be wielded by Hikari. Further, Sovereign may only ever be wielded as long as the "Screeching Resonance" technique is active.

Discordant Blade

Effect; For an additional cost of 10 chakra per swing, basic attacks and weapon-based taijutsu that utilize Sovereign may be treated as if they were of the [sound] Element, though the wielder must possess the Combinatorial; Sound skill. As long as Sovereign is wielded while a hybrid taijutsu/ninjutsu Black-Blood weapon-based attack is being made, the wielder may opt to increase that technique's cost by the cost to swing Sovereign once and may add Sovereign's base damage to the base damage of that technique.

Witch Hunting

Effect; Any time Sovereign is utilized to make a basic attack or weapon-based taijutsu against a target of equal or lesser rank to the wielder that has used a ninjutsu or genjutsu during their last turn, treat it as if it had an additional 5% to hit.

Voracious Edge

Effect; When attacking with Sovereign (Basic or Taijutsu), treat the effects of the "Soul Eater" branch of the Black Blood kekkei genkai as being increased by 5%(additive not multiplicative.) Whenever any other effect would increase the "Soul Eater" effects by a fixed percentage, treat them and Voracious Edge as being additive. Effects do stack, though only ones that specifically indicate the "Soul Eater" branch of the Black Blood bloodline.

Blacked Flow

Effect; Treat the effects of "Deadly Edge" in the Black Blood Kekkei Genkai as being increased by 5% per rank the wielder possesses in "Deadly Edge". That is: Rank 1 becomes 15%, Rank 2 becomes 30%, and Rank 3 becomes 45%.

Discordant Blade I feel like they shouldn't be able to use unless they have the combinatorial. As for the using seal-less jutsu, there are a lot of these abilities lately and I would like to tie up Warr's element ability thread and use those as a benchmark (or as the key ability) needed to get these.

Discordant blade- "they" in the first section of the ability refers to the attacks being converted into [sound]-type attacks. I tweaked the wording very slightly so that it seems less like I mashed my head against the keyboard, hopefully it is more understandable now?

Sorry to double post- but I added that Sovereign may only be wielded while Screeching Resonance is active in the "bloody formation" attribute quote. Further, in the "Screeching Resonance" topic, I added 1000 words of training that must be done to learn to use the technique and then wield Sovereign. For posterity!

I'd prefer it if the levels went up with the user training, but even if they don't I suppose that's fine. You need some sort of thing to be able to gain it, no matter if you want to spend money and RP it as her taking care of herself and researching weapons and ninjutsu more, or what. Because given this is a weapon created by a kekkei genkei and requires a big technique, but still needs to be addressed how you upgrade it [if you upgrade it].

This level of Sovereign will not be upgrade-able. My intentions are to create a stronger version of the scythe to match whatever rank Hikari happens to be at the time. As an example, Genin wields a level 15 Sovereign. Chuunin wields a level 30 Sovereign. Jounin wields a level 45 Sovereign. That's not exactly how I think the progression will go, but you should get the point. The "training" to "get" sovereign was what I included in the technique. If it's really necessary, I can tack some more onto the Scythe itself as some sort of "mastery" training, but, since it has a bloodline-esque upkeep/activation cost, I thought I could avoid most of the word spamming.

Okay, that's fine. Seeing how you pay a percentile of your total chakra to do it and this is basically what the bloodline is supposed to do, I think this is acceptable with teh amount of words training for the technique.
