Unwelcomed Arrival

ooc: By the way, unless I say otherwise Hakkai can only see/hear what I say he can and everyone else can only hear/see what I say they can. So Hakkai cannot react to anyone else's posts and everyone else cannot react to Hakkai. Eechi, Bifrost and Khaos may all react to each other's posts though.

As the first man who had been on the assault towards Korin would hit the wall, he would burst into a cloud of black feathers with a surprisingly light impact upon the wall, as if a pillow had been launched out of a canon and instantly burst on impact. The first girl that had been swiftly taken out by L had disappeared in a similar fashion. As Raz would interrupt and defeat L second opponent with ease, she would at first give a brief almost annoyed look before realizing who it was as her face would light up, even as he walked straight towards Korin.

"Oh Raz! That was great! You came just in time, I knew we could count on you!”, she exclaimed briefly as a smile lit across her face. Turning towards the door to the tower though she would look back and then towards them.

"We should probably get back, it looks like the last of the villagers from your two groups have passed through. Where are Nidori and Hak-", L would be cut off as a loud crack of thunder could be heard from inside the tower. Suddenly silence fell on the group and a small twinge of realization and fear would grip at their stomachs as they would realize the silence meant the absence of the portal's repetitive and very distinct hum. Turning back towards the hall L would run towards the door and look in, her extremely light blondish white hair swaying with the speed of her movement.

"Oh crud.... The portal is gone!!", her voice would note a slight state of panic. "Brash mentioned earlier that if the portal closed the other side should immediately fall apart and disappear because it lacks a tie to the real plane of existence, or so he thought. What do you think that means?", she would say, looking around as if the entire village might collapse in on her at any moment.

Hakkai entered the room of the tower and fell onto the ground and leaned against the side of a wall. He hurt really badly. His body burned like the fire he produced not that long ago. His stomach began to knot.

HE turned to the side of himself and threw up. There wasn't much, just water and a little bit of stomach acid. Hakkai felt better. Using his seal had taken it toll like hell on his body. It was silent in the tower though people were panting.

Hakkai listened to a woman talk about the noises they were hearing. Hakkai looked at her and said out loud, "I don't understand. What are you saying?"

Posted

"A noise, back in the residential district. It was strange, like a '-Fwooum- -zz- -Fwwooooum- -zz-'...", the woman said, trying her best to immitate what she had apparently heard. Another person from across the room would speak up.

"Yeah, I heard that too when we were trying to move through, but I was too focused on moving the injured to think about it then."

Posted (edited)

Hakkai tried to think back to the noise they were talking about. He couldn't remember the noise. Apparently they heard it a while ago.

Hakkai shook his head while slowly sitting up. "I don't remember hearing that at all. Was this before or after I met up with the group?" Hakkai again shook his head. "What do you think the noise was?

"No idea, but sounds like we should at least investigate it.", Raeyn would suddenly speak up and say, walking towards the center of the room as he brushed dirt off of the strange devices strapped to his arm.

"Me and Hakkai should be enough, the rest of you should hold here until we report back"

Posted

Hakkai sighed as Raeyn talked about checking it out. It wasn't that Hakkai was upset that he had too check it out, but he was exhausted. If he were attacked while checking this out he'd be in a tight situation. Hakkai slowly got up. He placed he left hand against the wall as he used the arm to push his body up onto his legs. He stretched his arms and bent over. He tripped a bit as he lost his balance for a second but got himself back up to date. Standing up again he smiled at Raeyn. He walked over to his comrade and patted the man on the back with a thumbs up.

"Let's Go."

There was something oddly soothing about having Korin by his side in battle, and it wasn't even from his affection for her. The simple fact that she could encase someone within a blissful illusion while he went ahead and tore them limb from limb was a beautiful mix. In all honesty, after the battle with the Raikage, the boy couldn't think of a better combination between Hakkai, Korin, and himself. They had all mastered their own spectrum of the ninja art trinity. It allowed no weakness in combination, allowing them to theoretically overcome any challenge being thrown their way. That alone gave him the courage to keep pushing through this mess, even if it seemed hopeless.

Raz took a quick glance at Korin as she released her genjutsu, but was quickly distracted by the sound of his victim smashing against the nearby wall like a stuffed animal to a windshield. Feathers exploded into a vibrant dance of color that left Raz immobilized for a few moments. This was the second time someone he completely obliterated dissipated into a handful of feathers that burst into the wind. It was a strange sight to say the least; not many ninja he knew could explode into feathers on contact, Korin not withstanding. It made him wonder if the victims truly were defeated, or perhaps, real at all. His train of thought came to a screeching halt as L began to smother the boy in compliments. He didn't intend to show off…that's exactly why he used the most efficient jutsu he had for dual combat. Apparently that did the opposite of what it was supposed to-do.

Their celebration was abruptly cut off by the sound of a static burst from inside the tower. Raz's body locked up, tensed to the point of being prepared to pounce. Last time he heard the sound of lightning, he was nearly mauled by it. L's panic worried the boy, watching he dash towards the inside of the tower, before busting back out with news he did not need to hear.

The portal had been severed from Oto I, leaving them stranded int the bowels of time and space as they knew it. Reality as they knew it was likely prepared to collapse at any moment. This was an unacceptable end for them, and he refused to adhere to it.

"I think that means we need to get the fuck out of here. Hold on…”

At the speed of light, he had already wiped a bit of blood that gushed from the kunai wounds in his chest onto his thumb.. Performing the string of hand seals for summoning, he nervously and shakily maneuvered his fingers to create the signs. His ineptitude at seal memorization was seemingly gone at the moment, the will to live far more important. On the final seal, he slammed his open palm against the earth, and a large puff of smoke surrounded him, as he called out the jutsu's title;

".:Kuuhakuma Gama Yusouki:."

[space-Time Toad Transport Technique]

A toad colored similarly to the one Raz placed in Oto I's Kyoukage tower leapt out from the jutsu, croaking hoarsely, looking over at it's master, knowing exactly what it was being summoned for. It's mouth stretched to a size that was crazy enough to fit one human at a time. Raz began to quickly usher Korin and L in; after all, he knew time was of the essence, and their lives were far more important then his own. If all went well, they'd end back up where Raz placed his first toad. Since this reality was forged by space-time ninjutsu, such passing through space and time would inevitably lead them back to their own dimension.

"Hurry! Before the world collapses on us!”

The large group of civilians, lead by Nidori and his clones had the tower in plain sight. Nidori himself felt a gradually increasing air of impatience was taking over his psyche; the collective was moving way too slow, but he knew he couldn't instil the fear of a collapsing universe upon them. Though it would quicken the pace in some, others would panic, helping nothing in the process. As they approached the tower the door flung open; L, rushed outside, the alarm clear upon her face.

Continue to advance, keep everyone together and waste no time in getting everyone through the portal! he yelled to his clones. With that, he dashed in the direction L went before leaping on to a rooftop, as to see what was going on instead of imposing. As he looked down towards L's destination, he also found Rasen and Korin. The only other notable thing where they stood was a handful of feathers on the ground. It seemed they had just encountered one of the crow-nin.

As he was to make his approach, he saw something that tied everything together. Rasen began to perform a slew of seals before slamming his hands to the ground; clearly a summoning technique. There was no more explanation needed, L had run from the tower because the portal had disappeared. The reason she was in Oto II was neither here nor there at this point. He had to get the people of Oto back to their rightful dimension. The others probably thought he had already made it through. He focused a small amount of chakra towards his vocal cords before taking a deep breath before addressing them to make sure his voice carried.

Rasen! If you summoning that frog means what I think it does, it'll need to be able to fit over 50 more people. They're in the tower by now, but I'll get them now. Just keep that open

((Ugly, ugly post I know))

Korin lost her grip on the masked stranger as he shattered into feathery pieces. She let the controlled chakra go from her fingers, feeling it lazily swirl into nothing. Bewildered, she observed the last feathers settle on to the ground. This jutsu that created this dimension of Oto II was unique… enough for Korin to contemplate recreating this jutsu on her own. As inviting as it was though, the girl couldn't imagine her popularity- or infamy- afterwards. Perhaps an illusionary version where victims were stuck in a dream forever or… maybe none of it. Dealing with this was enough of a pain.

She found her feet with a slight wobble, moving off the giant trench she'd created from the hospital to the tower. Taking the time to examine Raz's condition, Korin nearly missed the wounds he'd sustained- an uneven trinity of points lining his ribs. Normally the giddy feeling wouldn't hit her at a time like this, but with L's over-enthused compliments trying her possessive temper, payback was due and well in sight. Hands glowing, Korin quickly set her hand on Raz's chest. Her fickle eyes quickly shot towards L. "All better?" The jutsu lingered longer than necessary when the girl broke off the chakra, a shadow of a grin at the edges of her taut lips. A small victory, or so she would feel.

Brushing the sand and dirt off of her clothes, she straightened just in time to see L rushing back from the doorway, bearing the news of the portal's disappearance. Her thoughts spiraled into incoherence. Trapped in a crumbling misuse of time? Not to die but to cease existence- no. Raz silenced the wallowing with the small toad summon, beckoning her to clamber through the toad's gaping mouth. She… really hoped this toad could port through dimensions, otherwise they'd just be leaping off the edge of a flat world.

Raz's rush was halted by Korin's fingers nimbly making their way to his chest, mending the open wounds that the kunai of the crow ninja had so deeply carved into his ribs. Her oh so familiar essence repaired his wounds in an instant, the chakra sending a ticklish tingle up his lungs, making him cough into his hand. As she chirped up to check his wellness, he saw her eyes drift to L quickly, and figured out what was going on. He hoped she wasn't healing him just to show off, or something along those lines. Still, he felt much better, what with blood not soaking his shirt now.

"Yeah…thank you, Korin. Now hurry up, I don't want to lose you.”

A lopsided smile, before he leaned in and kissed her nose gingerly. He could only hope that this would not be the last time he'd ever see her again. He then placed a hand on her back and pressed her gently towards the toad so she could escape. As Raz worriedly tried to usher Korin and L into the gaping mouth of his space-time toad, Nidori's voice broke his concentration. He snapped his neck back at the young man, who informed him of half a dollar's worth of civilians left to save. He slammed his palm into his face, and growled angry, desperate words that came out completely muffled and illegible. He had hoped Nidori managed to escape through the portal already, but he couldn't blame him, after all, fifty people was a lot to drag along with you. He knew that from experience.

"For fuck sake…alright…Nidori, get the survivors then jump into the frog. I'll stay behind and get the last ones remaining to safety.”

He said, producing a quick string of hand seals that he had just preformed, this time he did it four times in a row, and summoned a total of four additional toads. Here, he figured, he could rush more civilians out quicker then before. Ten to a frog, that'd lessen the amount of time it would take for their flight, and giving them a better chance of survival. He beckoned for them all to hurriedly move as fast as they could manage, gazing up at the sky, putting his fate in the hands of Fuujin now.

No longer delayed by waiting for the response from Rasen, Nidori sped up his approach to the tower doors. Running through the opening, he just about heard the powdered explosions in the distance; surely the sound of Rasen summoning additional portal toads. With some understanding that it'd make it easier to transport them all he ignored the noise from within the tower coming from all the people present and addressed them in similar fashion to how he'd spoken to Rasen a few moments before hand. The stress on his head was near apparent now, he was certain his batch was the last to go through, the pressure was nearly settled, they weren't an easy group to handle.

Everybody listen up! We're moving now. Follow me as quickly as you can. Keep a hold of someone close to you as to not be lost in the crowd. Stay within your groups with your designated official.

He didn't want to speak to them in a panic, but the sense of urgency in his voice quite possibly raised a few eyebrows. Nevertheless, they began to move before long; Nidori's own group leading the way.

Stepping outside they marched toward Rasen, the two girls and his five toads. Expectedly, there was much chatter amongst the crowd. They were obviously confused but none spoke up, just as clearly scared.

I want you all to stay in your groups and listen my comrade here. He'll tell you what to do. For your own sake, do not question what will happen in the next few minutes as to make this quick and easy. You've all done great so far, this should be the last step to assure your safety

Nidori wasn't well practiced with public speaking, not to mention within a crisis. He felt he'd slipped up with how he'd spoken without applying the most assured manner; luckily he'd seemed to have won the majority over from long ago. Simple instruction and an example would be enough to coax them through this step.

It would not take long, even in their exhausted state, for the group of two to arrive back at the residential district where the sound could again be dully heard. There was no sign of an enemy at this point, but the distinct rhythmic beat of something could be heard.

-Fwooum- -zz- -Fwwooooum- -zz- -Fwooum- -zz-...

The only problem now would be finding the source of the sound as the buildings had created a nice echoing effect due to their tall and flat walls. Raeyn would point for Hakkai to move one way while he went the other.

"If you find the source just give out a shout. With the relative silence it shouldn't be hard to hear each other in this district.", he would say before heading off in one direction.

ooc: Hakkai, proceed to the area and begin searching for the portal. Write 150 words of searching and roll a d100 and add 1/100 of your accuracy stat to the roll. Repeat this process until you get over 100, adding the rolls together after each time. Ex: 27 (First Roll) + 66 (Second Roll) + 34 (Third Roll) = 127, or 450 words. You are working against time now, so on top of every roll you do I want you to keep track of a 'time' counter in your post. This will start at 15 and count down by one every time you make a roll for me or I ask you too.

-----

L would shoot a bit of a disapproving look towards Korin as she would heal the wound n Raz's chest, but it was soon replaced by a smile. It was obvious that the Kusa girl's actions had hit how they were meant to, but L would brush it off quickly and move on with business, acting as if she had seen nothing, even after Raz would land a soft kiss on Korin's nose. Gliding over all of this she would turn towards the tower as Nidori went off.

The civilians would follow Nidori's instructions without complaint, though along with it was a slight tinge of panic as they tried to rush in a direction all at once. Coming out of the door to the tower that L had been near just a few moments ago, the blonde haired girl would motion for them to follow as well, many of them seeming to recognize her though many seemed to not care as they rushed towards the frogs. Though before stepping in, the civilians would wait for Korin to pass through, a slight unnerving edge as they looked at the gaping mouth of the frogs. Most of them looked towards Raz and Nidori as for some type of instruction on what to do, as it was unlikely that a normal civilian was about to place the fact that they had to jump into a frog's mouth to get to what they hoped would be safety.

Korin smiled, her initial plan of smiting L indirectly melted as the full heat of the situation hit her. "I don't want to lose you" ricocheted in her ears, and climbing out of her secretly sneering shell, she started for the frog portal. "See you soon," she said, beckoning for the civilians Nidori brought to follow suite.

Within instants, the girl was swept off her feet, knocked out of breath, swirling between the rift and crests of dimensions. Twirling, spinning, she was finally thrust out of nonexistence with a skidding splat across the floor, face first. Korin shakily looked up, hoping that this kage's tower would belong to the one and the only true Otogakure.

Posted

His eyes were affixed to Korin as she approached the toad. He could sense her doubt and unease. However, this was their only chance left, and so the option was clear. As Korin approached the toad, it's mouth seemed to stretch beyond comprehension, being able to fit the girl's entire body into itself like a black hole with room to spare. Like that, Korin was gone, leaving Raz with Nidori and the remaining survivors. The young man successfully gathered the civilians and instructed them well on what needed to happen from here on out. Raz would take his place here to comfort and instruct them now, and allow the rest of them to leave. He'd ensure he was the last to leave, no matter what it took. Walking up behind Nidori, he raised a hand for a moment, his face contorting in thought, before shaking it off, and patting him on the shoulder, before moving forward.

"Alright, I can take it from here. Get on out of here quick, we've wasted enough time as is. I‘ll send them through.”

He said, pointing back at one of the toads with his thumb, before his attention was diverted to the crowd of Otogakurians. Their faces plastered with uncertainty and doubt. He couldn't blame them, for he doubted any of them were actually ninja. Once a person has walked down the path of a ninja, they experience how fragile sanity truly is. Laws of physics and normalcy were all a lie, and in their world, it was not uncommon to leap through a toad's mouth and pop out into another dimension. They were banking on that ridiculous fact now.

"I need you all to remain calm and follow my orders. Ten people line up per frog. Approach the frog and await for it's mouth to open. Once it's large enough, leap into it's mouth. Keep your arms to your sides and keep your composure. It'll only be about a second or two before you find yourself back home again. I know how strange this all must seem, but I need you all to trust and believe in me. I will not leave any of you behind, and I'll make sure each one of you make it out before I follow. You're not going to be alone. Now quickly, into the toads.”

Posted

Korin stepped towards the toad, it opening to facilitate her transit. It was odd even by a shinobi's standards to see someone walk into the mouth of a toad only to be whisked into another dimension. Strangely the concept wasn't too out of the ordinary, the sight however was bizarre.

In an act of what Nidori could only describe as humility, something that, as of recently he could relate to; Rasen pat his shoulder. A sign of respect amid a sea of resent, maybe? He wasn't banking on the two ever becoming friends, not with the tension from back in the capital. The gesture did however assure him somewhat that he wouldn't be randomly killed in his sleep one day.

Though Korin walking into the toad's mouth would possibly be enough to convince the minority that it would be safe to follow the coming orders; Rasen's suggestion for Nidori to go through before them also would, theoretically only sway the rest of them, or at least enough to persuade those on the fence otherwise.

Taking a deep breath, he approached the toad; it's mouth gaping wide as he drew closer. Once it was large enough to fit he narrowed his eyes, clenched his fists and leapt into the void. A sensation not too dissimilar to stepping through the portal that brought them to Oto II befell him, though it also felt musky, almost damp. His perception of space was slightly distorted, not knowing which way was up for a moment before it all came to an abrupt stop, he emerged from the other side, momentum from an unknown source carrying him out from the toad.

Hmph... Can't wait for my next experience like that!

Hakkai and Raeyn soon come to the residential district again. Hakkai was happy that this time there weren't any people he'd had to fend off. His body was exhausted still from using the seal and throwing up wasn't exactly an awesome thing to do when you are tired. And above all, he was still shirtless. Hakkai felt like crap.

He could hear the noise the people back at the Kyoukage tower could hear. It was faint but it was there. No other sound in the area other than the breathing of Hakkai and Raeyn was also helpful. Hakkai wondered what this sound was. At the same time, he was hoping that the people Raeyn and he left at the tower were ok. They were all the children of Oto and needed to survive. How else could the village survive if it has no inhabitants?

Hakkai began to look around for the noise after he and Raeyn split paths.

((14))

Down each street Hakkai went. The sound never changing no matter how far or close Hakkai was to where the noise was. Hakkai couldn't understand what this was going to be. But, the noise became louder all of a sudden and could be heard in a direction now. Hakkai grinned as he ran in the direction. The buzzing became louder and louder until it seemed like it right next to Hakkai.

It was in the back yard of a house. Hakkai ran around and saw a lawn mower that was on. Hakkai was confused. There were no other people here except the Oto ninja and the ninja in grey vests. And yet there was a working lawn mower. Hakkai shrugged as he turned it off. But the buzzing didn't stop. He hit the motor again but the motor was shut off. Hakkai walked back into the street and could still hear the noise. Hakkai yelled, "Raeyn! I think I found the sound!”

((Total roll is 156.))

Ooc: Sorry about the wait, life.

As Hakkai would call out to Raeyn, from atop the house he had just been around a very familiar man would appear. He stood tall, wrapped in a gray robe with light purple strips running and crossing along it. His rigght hand was perched out and holding a golden staff, long and taller than himself with a strange and intricate compilation at the head, which appeared to be a sun and a moon which slowly revolved around each other. His eyes were a deep brown and his long hair was tied into a ponytail behind his head which stood still with the absence of wind in the village.

Hakkai would recognize this man and most likely know his form very well, as this was the vice captain of the Otogakure NCIA forces, Urseial Li. Though it was unlikely the other man knew directly of Hakkai, as Hakkai would know nothing of the man aside his rank, name and appearance. The high collar of Urseial's robe hid his mouth from view, but his eyes were locked on Hakkai as he spoke.

"Cho Hakkai I presume? I wonder how it is you have stumbled into this, but you are coming to close to ending it all.”, he said, and with a broad wave of his staff the second story of the building he was standing on would break away and become ripped inwards, reveals what appeared the be a dark purplish colored portal, swirling in on itself and pulling things near it inwards for a moment before stopping its gravity like pull and leaving itself revealed as a gapping hole in the home. The sound had gotten twice as loud as the wall had fallen and it was safe to assume that this was the source of the sound.

With another crash of his staff upon the roof of the home, Urseial Li would yell out.

"NOW BE GONE!”, his voice would echo, the gravity like pull of the vortex picking up again, this time much stronger to the point that Hakkai would feel his own boy being dragged towards it. Some books from a nearby bookcase inside the house would fly into the portal before the whole shelf would flip towards and disappear into the void. If he did not do something he would be dragged into the mysterious void.

-----

As Nidori and Korin would spin through the void that was between planes of existance, their stomachs would pull, their vision spinning as the forces of the universe wrapped around their very bodies. Just as fast as it would start though they would meet pavement, with their feet or faces depending on how they had twisted in transit. As they would hit though they would notice the usual ambient sounds that were found with a normal world, the sound of wind and plants moving, along with some shuffling of feet and lowered voices. They were back in the Kyoukage's Tower, and Brash was there in front of them.

-----

Raz's plan would work beautifully, the villagers filing into the toads as they opened with the confidence that the two ninja before them had known what they were doing. As the last of the villagers would pass through and into safety, a sound would come from above Raz, a purplish portal like the one he had seen before would open in the air for a moment, and from it pieces of plaster and brick would fall, crashing towards the ground and hitting the brick with a loud crash. The portal would close just as fast as it had appeared, right by the third floor of the Kyoukage's tower. A few moments would pass again and this time as it opened a few books would fly through and come crashing down with another brick or two, but this time it would stay open, or at least for the moment being. Then a bookcase would come through, falling and shattering on the brick as the portal stayed open, as if someone was literally flinging items through it.

Gathering his bearings, Nidori took air deep into into his lungs. The atmosphere was somewhat 'normal' again; though he'd felt an air of oddity when he'd arrived in Oto, the difference between that and Oto II was prominent; being back home -no matter how wartorn it appeared- was still comforting. Basking in the ambience, he almost forgot about the others in the room. Tilting his neck to the side, it clicked several times in quic succession; someting he hadn't done in a long time and what he once considered a habit. Turning to Brash' position, he acknowledged his presence by nodding at him before addressing him.

Rasen is on the other side, he seemed insistent that we travel through. Though you or may not be aware 'till now, there were hostiles on the other side, as far as I could tell they posed no major threat. No idea where they came from... is there any more information?

Looking past Brash as he spoke, he saw many of the villagers who'd been rescued, the remaining fifty of his Rasen would be sending through would, assumedly, start rolling in within the next minute. There was however, something more apparent troubling Nidori as he scanned the crowd and awaited Brash' response.

Where the hell is Hakkai?

Raz watched as a silent observer, his arms crossed as he overlooked his people leaping into the toads one by one. Occasionally giving a few words of advice to those who were a little less calm then others. Once the last few had disappeared from view, a sigh of relief was released from his lungs, rubbings the few droplets of sweat off his forehead. Deep down, he was scared shitless of the possibility of reality as he knew it simply collapsing on him. Never did he feel so pressed against the clock before, and his own nobility was the only thing that was liable to get him killed. He was just thankful that Oto II was gracious enough to remain open long enough for his escape.

As he swiftly took bounding steps towards his toads, the sound of a familiar humming would catch his ear. It took a moment to register in his mind, but he deduced that it came from above. By the time he looked up to the sky, he saw dozens of bricks and plaster descend upon him at speeds he had no time to avoid.

"Wha-?”

Before he could finish his sentence, a large piece of brick slammed him in the forehead, causing him to stumble, wobbling back and forth like a bobblehead doll. His hands flew to the giant crimson mark on his head now, managing to conveniently miss the metal part of his hitai-ate. He fell onto his knee, his eye seemed to be twitching somewhat, before his let out a giant burst of air, and cursing loudly.

"Fffffffffffuuuuu-”

Once more, Oto II decided to hate him once again, this time hard covered books was his new enemy. He managed to roll out of the way this time, narrowly dodging them. He released a relieved sigh, only to be squashed under a bookshelf, shattering into pieces around him. Bad timing, bad placing, and just a bad day it seemed. He shot up to his feet, nearly falling over from the sudden dizziness that overtook him. His jacket bellowed about him, before he leapt into the air with all his might, catching the side of the Kyoukage tower, and leaping through the airborne portal. He was determined to strangle the life out of whoever just did that. It's not like he couldn't get back if this portal closed, he had his toads he could rely on. Besides, whoever this was, they had access to this world as well, which likely meant they were apart of it's creation.

Hakkai looked up as he saw the man that he oh so hated. He was the man that controlled Oto during the stay of Kumo. The staff, his stupid ponytail, this fucking faggot was the one that suppressed the people of Oto. Hakkai shook with rage as he saw this man. The eyes of the two men were stuck on each other, Hakkai's filled with anger.

Urseial Li. This is the first time Hakkai had ever been this close to the man. And now, he was within attacking range. Hakkai unsheathed his sword and was prepared to take the offence. The man, however, began to speak. He told Hakkai that he was annoying and that this needed to come to an end. Hakkai was on the offence but wasn't prepared for what was about to happen.

A portal open and began to suck everything into it. Hakkai had no idea where this was leading too so he jammed his sword into the pavement underneath his feet and jammed it in at an angle to gain leverage. Hakkai cursed but held onto the sword with all his might. His feet came off the ground as he felt his entire being sucked into this vortex.

As Raz would burst through the portal he would find himself flung with a great force out of the second floor of the building, coming into sight with everything Hakkai had seem himself, including the man Urseial Li, the vice commander of the NCIA forces in Otogakure no Sato. It was odd to see the man on his own, having usually followed the orders and prestige of the Commander himself.

“Oh, seems that your student here has decided to join. I've heard tales of you two, seems you have grown quite a bit since leaving here. But don't think you have a chance while in this dimension.”, Li would say as through the portal another figure would appear, having the same likeness as Urseial Li. In fact, one might say it WAS Urseial Li himself.

ooc: This will be a semi-battle. I will post damage from my techs, this will include his base damage and his modifier, but not your defense. The accuracy will also be posted with his mods and before your own evasion is added. You need only post the same as I am, along with evasion rolls and current HP, Chakra and Stamina. If you used some hp, stamina or chakra I trust you to estimate how much you have left.

In addition: Every post you make you must roll 1d100 modified by any one stat (divided by 40 and rounded up) you choose to RP to keep yourself from being sucked into the portal. Example: You grab onto a ledge to hold yourself from flying away. 1200 Taijutsu / 40 = 30. 1d100 + 30 = result. If you get below 30 or roll a 1-3 on the d100 you will be pulled through the portal and out of the fight.

"Within this domain its easy for me to bend and manipulate this space. Time travel between Oto two and Oto three is a seamlessly easy task when you put your mind to it.", the second Urseial would say, standing quite literally next to himself. With a flicker of speed the first one disappeared, only to reappear right near Hakkai with his staff outstretched as if the suction of the portal did not matter at all to him. With a quick wist of his body he would swing his staff towards the other man's head, trying to catch him as he attempted to keep himself from flying.

[Hakkai: 400% Accuracy; 500 Damage]

The second stood, his gaze fixated on Raz, as his free arm without the staff would stretch as if trying to reach towards the young man, and with a quick motion close into a fist. The area around Raz would literally begin to waver and shift, and if he did not move quickly the area would soon close in on itself and become a second portal before vanishing just as quickly as it appeared, leaving only void left behind.

[Raz: 450% Accuracy; 650 Damage]

ooc: Sorry for taking so long, life got super busy. Any questions catch me on AIM or something, I'm tired so idk if this will all make sense.

32 + Nin Mod; 50 = 82 [success]

As Raz burst through the portal ahead, he'd quickly see a couple figures come into view. While he was prepared to release a punch at the closest person, he soon saw it to be Hakkai, and thus, retracted his arm hastily, causing his landing to be a little slippery, sliding forward next to his friend. However, the momentum from this manuever quickly ceased, as the gravity behind him was strong, tugging at his legs . He began to manipulate the wind within the room, making it push against him to fight the gravity. It was tight, and he couldn't exactly do gymnastics like this, but it was the best he could do for now. He swiftly turned to Hakkai, who was barely holding on by the bone blade stabbed into the ground.

"Can't turn my back for five seconds without you getting lost, can I!?”

He said, jokingly, which probably wasn't appropriate for the current situation, but he had to make light of this somehow. Of course, that was before he noticed who was standing before them. He recognized this man, if only from pictures or the occasional speech he might have made during his reign in Oto with the commander. It was strange to Raz, to see the second-in-command being the chess master behind it all. The man spoke of their growth, as well as the futility of their actions against him. He watched as the man created what seemed to be another version of himself, though this one seemed to be wielding a staff of some kind. Raz sneered slightly, forming a hand seal as he spoke.

"So this is the final hurdle, huh? It doesn't matter what you throw at us anymore, or what you threaten us with. We are the last Sons of Oto, friends, brothers, you can't break our teamwork or our bonds. We're wind and lightning, and the one's that will create the sounds of revolution that will break this land free from it‘s oppression together!”

And so it began, both forms of Li splitting against the two of them. It was a smart tactic, since he was outnumbered from the start. While one of the duplicates moved towards Hakkai, Raz's did not. He simply raised his hand, and began to close it into a fist. Suddenly, the wavering of time and space around Raz became noticeable immediately, gravity collapsing in on one space. He recognized this type of jutsu, being well versed in space-time ninjutsu himself. He knew at an instant that he needed to quickly move out of the flow of gravity, or be in danger of losing a limb, or worse.

.:Knowing the Elements:.

Once per your rank in this skill you may negate the damage from a Ninjutsu attack against you. The incoming attack must be at least of the rank of your own. This may not be used against an attack from a Ninja of higher Ninja Rank to your own. Does not negate the effects of selected jutsu. n/a -2 (1 Due to Path of the Sage) 2 Ranks

((Assuming I can use this. You said he was second in command, which doesn't mean he was automatically of Sennin level.))

The boy leaped backwards, sliding across the ground as the second portal formed. This portal would end up shielding Raz, cutting off the line of sight between him and Li. Channeling the chakra into his hand seal that he maintained, two duplicates of himself sprung out next to him, one feeding off the creation of the other one.

".:Fuuton; Shippuuden Bunshin no Jutsu:."

[Wind Release; Hurricane Clones II]

.:Fuuton; Shippuuden Bunshin no Jutsu [Wind Release; Hurricane Clones Lv 2]:.

Type: Ninjutsu [Wind]

Rank: Sennin

Cost: 400

Damage: N/A

Effects: Creates clones (To a max of two) that has the following

1 Point of Health

1 Point of Stamina

100% of the Original's chakra.

100% of the Original's ninjutsu

100% of the Original's Accuracy

Upon the destruction of a clone, the attacker must roll an additional dodge roll using the clone's stats. If failed, the ninja takes 200 bleed damage.

Description: A highly advanced Bunshin technique, that embodies the wind to a transcended pinnacle. The user of this jutsu will perform an inverse crossed hand seal, and concentrate on the air around them. They shall then, manipulate the air into a swirling tornado, and compress it intensely into the body shape of the user. The compression is so tight, that upon the destruction of the clone, the air explodes into sharp, seemingly cutting disks, which fly at high speeds at the one who destroyed it, much like a fan. This can slice through skin effortlessly and if wielded correctly, can make the opponent think twice about missing. Not only does this technique come with such a little perk, the clones gain the exact skill in ninjutsu as the user, as well as a large amount of chakra. This allows the near existent beings, to serve an excellent purpose, as they fight along side their master. Being the ‘perfected' version of the Shippuuden Bunshin no Jutsu, its abilities are much more deadly then its predecessor, putting it on equal grounds as its master in terms of ninjutsu ability. Its unique self-destruction feature has also gotten an upgrade, dealing twice the amount of damage then it did previously.

.:Intrest:.

Bloodline: N/A; Personal to Kinsen ‘Raz' Rasen

Description: In order to create a clone, a ninja must mold the being perfectly in their image. In doing so, the ninja must ‘shave away' some of the chakra they use to create the living replica. Through constant clone usage, Kinsen ‘Raz' Rasen came across an effective method of crafting clones. By manipulating the left over and unneeded chakra, he will create an additional clone of the same type, allowing the boy to save what would otherwise be wasted chakra.

Effect: Whenever the user would perform a clone jutsu, they may create one additional clone of the same type for free. This cannot be used if the ninja has created the max amount possible for said clone.

Both clones dashed forwards around the portal, one approaching the Li that assaulted Raz, the other towards the one who struck at Hakkai., both utilizing the same jutsu Raz used not so long ago outside against the opponents who struck at Korin and L. Raz hadn't thought of using this tactic before. He knew that the cleave typically did half the effect on the second opponent, but if he could perform it on both opponents, it would likely just stack a load of injuries right off the bat. He watched carefully, hoping for a hit, as he began preparing a strategy incase it failed or wasn't enough.

".:Fuuton; Fuujin no Wareru:."

[Wind Release; Fuujin‘s Cleave]

.:Fuuton; Fuujin no Wareru [Wind Release; Fuujin's Cleave]:.

Type: Ninjutsu [Wind][sealess][Personal]

Rank: Sennin

Cost: 400

Damage: 300

Effects: If this jutsu successfully hits the opponent, target a nearby opponent. Half of the damage from this technique is dealt to the opponent as well. The opponent may dodge this jutsu as if it were a normal attack. If the first opponent who was targeted manages to dodge this move, the second opponent is not affected in any way. However, if the first opponent uses a skill to defend against the incoming attack, the second opponent would still receive damage. If the user's speed is twice the first or second opponents, or the user can attack one ninja twice during the turn, both ninja receive full damage from this jutsu, rather then one receiving full and the other receiving half.

Description: A lightning quick jutsu created by Kinsen ‘Raz' Rasen in order to defeat multiple opponents at once as quick as possible. By charging the enemy at full speed, the user will gain a large amount of momentum, and as they manipulate the wind chakra around them, it becomes sharper, and will slice through things with greater ease. The next step of the jutsu is to assault the opponent using what seemed to be taijutsu. Starting off with a windmill punch, before leaping into a windmill kick, the user will exert their wind chakra around their bodies. This will allow the user to perform gravity defying acrobatics, while the opponent attempts to defend from what they think is taijutsu. Instead, as the ninja puts their arms up to guard, the wind chakra flowing out of the user's body will slice through their limbs, leaving deep scars if the ninja puts all their might into it. Once the ninja finally touches down, they shall push off towards the next closest opponent, using whatever momentum they received from their last victim to perform the same technique on them. Of course, at this point, the wind chakra around the user will be exhausted, and won't deal as many wound to the opponent. This little negative fact can be fixed when assaulting those much slower then the user, the sheer amount of momentum being too much for the opponents to keep up with.

.:Replicated Initiative:.

Bloodline: N/A; Personal to Kinsen ‘Raz' Rasen

Description: As anyone who has created a clone would know, replicas of the ninja seem to be ‘disorganized' when they first touch ground, which seriously reduces their survivability in battle. This is caused by the chakra within the clone becoming stabilized, due to the quickness of their creation. As Kinsen ‘Raz' Rasen would learn how to forge clones more effectively, he'd eventually learn a way to stabilize the clone's senses by using the perfect amount of chakra within their inner systems. This would allow his offensive capability to jump leaps and bounds, his clones able to gain ground quicker in battle.

Effect: Clones created by this ninja can now use their setup phase and main phase in the turn they are created.

The attack dodgePortal (91+ 25)

Hakkai smiled in relief as he saw his best friend Raz appear from the vortex. Still, absolutely nothing made sense to him as to where he was or what was going on but damn it, it was nice to see an old face. Li began to talk about how he heard about the two Oto brothers. Hakkai chuckled. Stories don't truly have the same affect than experiencing something in real life. Such a different experience it is, especially when a man hadn't even met the two ninja before this day. Hakkai's muscles twitched. His anger started to grow. Hakkai began to think about his time back in Oto during the time of the resistance. His grip began to slip. He cursed but the vortex started to have less of an effect on the young Oto ninja.

Raz then made a smart ass comment towards Hakkai. His anger began to subside as Hakkai let out a chuckle from under his breath. Good times.

Hakkai managed to get to his feet while having his body tilted away from the vortex trying to keep his footing onto the ground. His muscles still ached from the battles before hand. Hakkai had no idea what was going on. Another Li came out of nowhere and stood next to the first one. Hakkai was baffled at this. The new one Li spoke about switching between something called Oto Two and Oto Three. Hakkai's mind couldn't wrap around what they were talking about. This whole thing just confused Hakkai and in all reality, he still wasn't wearing a shirt. Goddamn it was cold.

Raz spoke out against Li. He spoke of the bond he and Hakkai held and how the elements they possess create sound. Hakkai smiled as he struggled to stay on his feet. The last two soldiers of the resistance here in a final battle to regain their home. It was almost like poetry except more vivid and no fuzzy feelings. All Hakkai wanted was peace in his life and Li was one of the people that stole it from him. But, how could Hakkai take it on himself to destroy another person?

The first Li moved and reappeared behind Hakkai. Caught off guard, the staff the ninja held slammed into Hakkai's skull. For a split second, Hakkai lost all sight and thought. The blow was quite awesome in strength and Hakkai lost his balance. After the second and after regaining consciousness, Hakkai jammed his sword into the ground. He then hurled himself away from the vortex and against a wall by throwing his body by the hilt of the sword. Once hitting the wall Hakkai looked back at the Li that had struck him. He could feel his skull bleeding. The hit that Li had made was not one that he could just walk off.

Hakkai had to think quickly. His mind raced in all different directions. How to continue with this fight? He was already tired from the previous battles. He hadn't slept. His skull was more or less smashed with a blunt object. His vision was blurring. And he STILL didn't have a shirt.

Hakkai didn't want to kill again. He hated striking down a life. He wasn't god but it's not like hasn't done it before. And this man was one of the big figures to oppress his people and the ninja ways that he was taught from a child. To protect village… To protect the music Oto plays… To protect the ones he loved… He needed to go all out. He couldn't hold back. If he did, then he wouldn't be protecting anything. Hakkai would do as he promised. He will return the village to the Kyoukage and Jinsei.

Hakkai crouched against the wall as he still had the force acting on his body from flinging himself off of the ground. His whole inner thought process was only a second in real life. Racing thoughts are quick.

Hakkai went from his crouching position and jumped towards the Li that attacked him. Hakkai began to spiral slowly as he gained momentum. Hold his sword by his chest, he swirled more and more and once he got close enough to Li, he switched from his parallel position to the ground to an upright position and swung his blade at Li's arm that held his weapon that struck Hakkai a couple seconds ago. The sword was angled to that he could make a clean lop.

"I must keep my promise Li.”

"Tachikiru Ato Ude!”

Description: A justu where you wouldn't want to see yourself the other side on. This justu allows for the ninja to run up to their opponent and with both strength and persicion, chop the opponents arm off. Since a person's hand is extremely dull, a bladed weapon must be present.

Ooc: He is of Sennin level, but I will let that slide for turn one since I forgot to mention that. Sorry about slow posting btw, I'll try and be better x:

[Rolled a 35 to dodge Raz first attack; Hit]

[Rolled a 18 to dodge secondary action of Raz first attack; Hit]

[Rolled a 44 to dodge Raz second attack; Miss]

As Raz would dodge the attack and begin his assault of clones on Li, the man would already be on the move. As the first blast of wind would come flying he would be struck, the subsequent blast flying towards his companion and striking him as well. The damage was significant to both, but not enough to stop them yet. As the second came, the man would seem to become sucked into his own vortex which appeared next to him, only to appear out at the other side. With what seemed like a snarl he would draw back his arm, staff in hand and swing it forward, no where near either Raz, Hakkai or the clones. However, as he swung the top of his staff would become warped within a black vortex and disappear, appearing for a brief fraction of a second in front of every person on the battle field in a flicker of attacks, bending space to make his melee attack extremely versatile and ranged.

[Everyone: 450% Accuracy; 300 Damage Each]

Being struck from behind, the man would stumble forward in front of Hakkai, his eyes growing wide in surprise as the other man came at him with his sword out, aiming to sever his limb. With a quick flick of his hand, the man would disappear in a vortex of blackness only to pop out above Hakkai with his staff in hand looking to crush the man from above.

Damn i'm getting shitty rolls

Vortex. Success

Hakkai, being more so focused with the Li that was in front of him, had no idea about the other one in battle and was caught off guard with the attack that was sent at him. Hakkai cringed in pain as he was almost completely out of it. His physical health was almost at max. He was just tired of this battle as it was. He looked back at the Li he was fighting and saw that he was going to try and hit his skull again. "fun. That." Hakkai said. Making a handseal really quickly, he was able to replace himself with a bench near by. As Li hit it, it would make a loud crunching noise.

"Kawarimi no Jutsu!”

Body Substitute Technique

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Substitute Technique)

Type: Ninjutsu

Rank: Academy Student

Cost: 10 Ninjutsu

Effects: Evade the next attack aimed at you. You are unable to attack the opponent the turn you use this. You can only use this 3 times per battle. This technique cannot be used to dodge Ninjutsu, Taijutsu or Genjutsu Techniques.

Description: A lifesaver, and a must-have technique. With this technique, the user is able to swap their body with a nearby object, usually a log, which will take the full force of any incoming blows for them, while they retreat to safe ground or search for an opening.

Hakkai panted heavily and knew he wasn't close enough to hit Li and wouldn't be able to gain the side of suprise again. Hakkai sheathed his sword and began to make hand seals again. He needed to buy himself some time to heal his body. The ground would have large mounds come out of it in a zombie type fashion. As they formed, they began to gain color to them and the three beings looked a lot like Hakkai. Rushing around each other, there stood four Hakkai's awaiting to fight.

Soil Clone (Iwa Bunshin no Jutsu)

Type: Ninjutsu (Earth)

Rank: Chuunin

Cost: 75 per clone (max of 3 clones on the field)

Effect:: Each Soil Clone has 1/4 stats of the user, but only 1hp. They are automatically hit by any attack that includes them as a target (they get no dodge roll).

Description: In similar fashion with any other clone technique, Iwa Bunshin No Jutsu can make up to several clones made out of soil from the ground. Used to trick the opponent in a clever way. When the opponent hits one of these clones, it turns back into soil but latches onto the opponent, thus hindering his/her movement.

Points: 3

The Ol' Switcharoo

Bloodline: No

Description: Clones are something almost every ninja can use. But some ninja have the ability to make these clones look exactly like their creators and if the clones and master can do it right, they can confuse their opponent by running around with their clones and make their opponent guess which one they are going to hit.

Effect: Whenever the weilder of this skill is attacked, the user rolls for the attack like normal. Should the attack be successful, the user then rolls a dice equal to the number of clones plus the original creator (EX. if there is 1 clone, its a d2). If they roll a 1, they hit the original person. If if anything else is rolled, the opponents attack hits a clone. This may only be done at max with 3 clones at a time. The clones used must not have a description that makes them physically different from the user and they must also be physical clones. This skill does not work with AoE attacks. When using this skill, you must state that you are using it in conjuction with the clone technique when the technique is being used. This skill may only be used once per battle per rank.

Cost: -2 per rank

Ranks: 1

Requirement: 5 post Jounin Training for the first rank

Link: WHAM!
