Azure Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 The milky eyes enabling his visibility picked up on a familiar sight, held deep to his heart in timeless tragedy. He had seen this land under life and lighting in the past, heard whispers of demise and destructions around every corner. Lived through each day, sometimes fearful of the future. But all would soon be at rest. Takumi lead his group of experienced warriors home from their long dry road. Picking up familiar faces, he was only a stand in for who these people truly would follow. But carrying on a foreign wish; he would do so gladly. The night would subside as the sun peaked over the legendary forest of death which held many memories of the land’s soil; perhaps with more secrets and stories than every citizen of the village hidden in the leaves. “Remember, Konohagakure was not freed before I left and the status is that it is still under occupation. However, with the recent events, there are many less forces now than there ever have been. Still, we’ve just come off of a huge war, I’m sure all of you would rather avoid anymore fighting…” His voice trailed off as it were, while his eyes shifted once again back to their home. Ushering the shinobi to follow him in toe, the small group planned to creep closer. Takumi’s Byakugan reeled; revealing the inner landscape of the forest in which they traversed through. His eyes scouted out the possibilities of any guards or sentries stationed outside of the village on patrol. With ear cleared sector, they moved ever closer. A brief hum of movement buzzed over their head, directly deriving from the village itself. It appeared that there was uproar in progress; something broke out in their absence. The walls of the city were abandoned, save for three figures that stood in the archway, stationary. Others could be seen running, controlled elements wheeled through the atmosphere, between fire and lightning majorly; intertwined with the other element wheel spots. The one in the middle of the three stepped forward. A golden aura brushed away from his silhouette when he stepped away from the man to his left. His garments were of intricate designs hued both crimson and pumpkin. His hair was shaded cerulean; two black daggers were held in his holsters to his side. The two men to his sides both carried staves. The one of the right had a staff with a crescent moon affixed on top; who dressed a shepherd with violet hair. The man on the left dressed in white robes resembling a priest, his staff was bejeweled with a swirl of colors. The middle man that stepped forward would fit nearly perfectly in the context. A seeming dream would envelop his ambiance as his own existence seemed to be a paradox of life itself. A greeting grin held to his face spoke many unsaid words. His eyes met with theirs, analyzing their status among each other. His glance would specifically fall on Tsubasa. He was in the triad only some time ago, escaping and now appearing in Konohagakure. If Tsubasa would have caught the man's appearance, his figure might even be a bit frightening. “Welcome Home Konohagakure shinobi. It’s nice to see your embers strong, especially yours, Baromosa.” His voice was strong and clear, obviously showing his gentle side. He was not their adversary. It would appear that Soujiro defied the inevitability of death itself. Shinobi tended to pull miracles, from time to time.
Baromosa Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 The sounds and smells of a familiar Konoha made the trip so well worth it, it almost held everything in a new light. Peace was easily felt traveling with the small group, and Baro took in every small detail before he would hear a voice draw his attention by his name. Baromosa's brown eyes turned up to his former teacher who he had not seen since before his involvement in the invasion and before. He could hardly breath from the moment but his lips showed that warm smile he almost kept the patent on. "Soujiro-sensei! I can't believe it's you... after everything." Baromosa said in disbelief, running up to his Soujiro with a laugh. Baro ran so fast, he would probably think it was for a hug, but Baro of course stopped just short and looked up at his former sensei. "It's good to see you again." Baromosa said meaning each word, and bowed slowly to him before smiling back up to his face.
Takius Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 As the group neared the entrance of the village, Taiyaki's heart beat a tad more quickly. Home. He was tentative to even begin to use that word in his thoughts, but it was so true. He was back home, and the sights and smells and sounds all around him were both foreign and so familiar to him. The archway that led into the village, with its proud, strong emblem - the trees around the village, bent with the heavy secrets of age. As the group approached, another trio of men dressed in rich robes greeted them, and Baromosa personally. The Uchiha, in an act that might have seemed aloof - but really was just him being respectful of what was obviously a reunion - stepped to the back of the group after bowing briefly to the men. He was still busy absorbing the dim memories of the landscape to do much more.
acillies45 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 (OOC: YEAH, Ive been really busy and unable to post, so Im just going to catch up kk?) Jinsoku kept swearing. He hadnt found the group in time and by the time that he found out that they were going a foot, he knew that it was too late to join them, so he would have had to follow them. He had dropped his prisoner off with a group of ninja in charge of POWs and quickly took out a map and started to follow it to the way home. He knew that this would take awhile and that he would probably not catch up very quickly. He moved though, as he had been the with purpose and vigor. He was pissed that he had been so stupid and missed the others, but knowing that dwelling on this wouldnt do anything, he kept moving. Finnally after what seemed like forever, he had caught up with the group. He saw them in the distance, but didnt slow. Also in the distance, was his home. He took a sigh...it had seemed like eternety since he and Baro had left together. He just hoped his teammaate was alright. Baro was strong, he knew, and he probably was fine. He smiled as he drew closer, his friend was in his sight now. As he drew uppon the group, he was getting ready to what he would say in excuse for being late. He finnally got to them and smiled embarrisedly. "Hey! Sorry I seem to be late...I was busy and missed you guys by only a little..." Then his eyes went passed the group and saw what he couldnt believe; Soujiro. He stopped dead and stared upon his old sensei. "...Sou...jiro sensei?" He said. He cculdnt belevie this. He had thought his master dead. He had to look again to make sure that he wasnt asleep. "How...is this possible?? You're dead!" He still wasnt able to beleive it. This was someone who he had thought to be passed...He was unable to say anything else.
Azure Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 Soujiro's teal eyes beamed in response to Baromosa's sudden realization and acceptance of the man who was perceived to be dead for quite some time. In their memories, he was swallowed up in the mystical blue flame that devoured the small quaint town of Kinomi no Toshi. It was all but memories and ash now, but the man that stood before the returning group of Konohagakure shinobi appeared to be real. Soujiro brought down a firm grasp on to Baromosa's shoulder, his hands clothed in the same tarnished gloves. By the touch of his hand, he seemed to be tangible even more so now more than ever. It was as if fate itself willed for Jinsoku to be late on this occasion, for he was the only one to question his existence. Soujiro knew that Jinsoku favored him highly and idolized him with great respect before the sudden incident months ago. "Some spirits do not pass on until their task on Earth is complete.” [The voice of the priest standing at the gates to Konohagakure no Sato spoke loudly, to interrupt whatever thoughts and speculations would be mounting about Soujiro's sudden appearance. His voice was rather cryptic, as if hinting to an unrevealed fact that he had been graced with. "And I hope we don't meet any of those today!” Soujiro called back to his fellow partner, nearly contradiction the words of the priest. The question now lied unanswered and ambiguous, surly the man had gone up in flames, yet he remained seemingly physical. The quiet shepherd was the only one who did not contribute to that topic, the one who might just have the correct answer. If Baromosa and Jinsoku encoded him to memory, they would recall the man as Tsukasa. "What of Yatako? Shouldn't he be here as well?” Soujiro queried, alluding to his knowledge of the Hyuuga general that led the Konohagakure forces and the man with direct connections to the recent Tsuchikage Syaoran. Hyuuga Takumi took responsibility for his cousin's whereabouts, being of blood connection to Yatako. "Yatako is going to Kumogakure on peace delegations. Hopefully this mess will be ended before he returns and he will also be successful. That being said, we need to continue the front. We should break up and work tactics on two fronts.” Takumi said with a hint of sentiment. The Hyuuga didn't question how the man knew of his cousin, now was not the time for informal questioning. There was still a village to liberate. Soujiro lifted his hand from Baromosa and took his place among his dual partners. "Today we rise again, as one nation, united.” Regardless of whatever order that could be given, each one of them was granted with a divine blessing that had finally come in to play. Free will. ((Ooc; choose either to (1) Enter the Village [or] (2) Stay outside. Each choice will have separate outcomes, there is not necessarily a correct answer. Not everyone has to choose the same choice, but choose wisely.))
cntrstrk14 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Tsubasa's mind would reel as his eye feel onto the man. He knew exactly where the man was from, the last moment he had with his 'teacher' in the NCIA had been while engaging this very man in combat. Though Tsubasa had held no feelings towards the Jounin teacher, the fact that he had been on opposites side of the conflict with this man less than a day before was troublesome. Tsubasa decided to play it cool though, keeping his appearance posed he would hope against hope that the man's long gaze towards him had been in vain, and he had not been able to recognize him. As he continued and the group was presented with a choice of sorts, Tsubasa would hold himself back, watching the others in what they would choose. He was filled with an overwhelming desire to go into the village that was so close, but he also had an overwhelming sense of self preservation. He was still concerned with his own safety first and foremost.
Baromosa Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Baromosa's bright eyes seemed to flash more full of hope and joy then before with the image of this man that he had missed so much through the time between Kinomi no Toshi, the city that had once haunted his dreams. Konoha no Sato was now before them, the city that Baro had kept in such high regard as his final destination after the war. 'Finally, I am here to keep it safe. I'm older now.... stronger. Wiser. I am not going to loose this jewel of my heart ever again. Family, I've returned.' he thought to himself, taking a small step forward and looking over the gates of Konoha stretched out before them. Baro's hand rested on his hip as he thought about what might await him inside. Most of all, he wondered if his mother and father have survived this very long time in the inner city. "By your command, let us enter." Baro whispered as he turned with a grin. He was ready to proceed inside with whoever would join him.
Takius Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Though the war was over already, there still seemed - unfortunately - more to do. Taiyaki quietly followed the conversation, and at its end, quietly stepped into a position near Baromosa's flank. He had noticed the way that Tsubasa had stayed to the back of the group. The Uchiha might have done the same if not for the very strong urge to return, triumphant to his home village once again... to take up his rightful place as an heir to the Uchiha name. He had waited more than two years; at the moment, even a few more minutes seemed unbearable. (1)
cntrstrk14 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 With the majority of the people seemingly to be choosing to move into the village, Tsubasa would reluctantly fall in line. Adjusting his eye patch, his mind wandered back to the fight and the strange outlines he had seen on the battlefield. For the sake of his own safety he had ignored them back then, but it had been on his mind since. Just what exactly had happened to him, had it been part of the enemies plan in battle?
acillies45 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Jinsoku moved without hesitation to where his teammate would go. He didnt want to be separated again, as he knew that dispite himself being a bit too kind and sometimes acted too rashly, Baromosa was a great ally to have with him. Besides, they were a team and needed to stick together more. He was hoping Soujiro would join them, he wished to talk more to his seemingly undead sensei.
Azure Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 The once dead teacher, along with the priest and the shepherd started their waltz in to the current village waged to war. It was a war rekindled from the previous uprising, leaving both sides mangled and distraught, now fighting on their last limbs. That being the case, the ferocity contained in the human survival functions was baring its nasty teeth, especially within the blood strong wars fought in these lands prior. The land of fire had always been revered for its specialized national pride, to which many had seen as weakness, other foresaw it as strength. The pride allowed for illogical blindness and misleading decisions on the positions of power. Others who saw the strength in this type of fascism believed it to be a driving ambition force. There was no true to this debate, for it was one of personal perception. The true answered lied in the outcome; what was written in the history texts. As the group edged nearer, sounds of sirens, screams and forms of sound manipulation flew across the skies. The triad now stepped through the gates of the village hidden in the leaves, to be met with the quarrels inside. It appeared as though all four of the resilient embers stepped in to place with Soujiro and his partners. Two kunai zipped around the air in the direction of Takumi’s feet. “Whoa!” He jittered out of the way of the metallic knives, avoiding any harm. The following events would have entangled any who ventured with the Hyuuga and stayed outside. An immediate attack by an unforeseen force. A figure stepped out behind a tall oak tree with encroaching branches; his headband read the symbol of sound. Soon, the sound shinobi released a pressurized sound wave at Takumi. The Hyuuga was nimble enough to avoid the simple attack that appeared to be a distraction for a second set of kunai coming from another invisible force. There didn’t seem to be any living soul near. “Sound shinobi? Some tensions never die, do they?” The group, however, chose to follow the triad of returning soldiers to the battle for Konohagakure no Sato. As soon as Soujiro set foot in to the village, a squad of five shinobi appeared from the darkness of the streets. Clad in experienced armor, the shinobi made their initiating move by pulling a lever of sorts, turning gears and operating a mechanism. The shinobi that had planned this eloquent ambush seemed to be of the heir ability tier than some other battling force. Hanging above the exit of the village hung a metal cage prison that dropped on the squad of the four Gennin. The cage was crafted of durable material, thick and without transparent qualities. It was a square for the most part, with a clear top with miniscule holes for sunlight and oxygen to drop in. It was more of a holding tank for or extermination tank if airborne poison was employed. “And so it begins.” • • • • • • • • Ooc; From here, take note of your Tank stats, along with Attacking modifiers. -- The Prison has a total of 500 hp, but there are certain factors that go along with it: -- Attacking rules follow the same as in battle. -- The objective is to destroy the prison and break out. Techniques may be used with modifiers attached. The prison is immune to status effects and/or reductions. -- Any Taijutsu done to the prison has ¼ of its damage dealt back to the attacker. -- Fire jutsus have a 30% chance of dealing 1/8 of its damage back to the user and everyone else in the prison, along with having a 20% chance of burning and a 10% of blinding anyone that is hit with the fire. -- Genjutsu attacks do no damage to the prison. -- If there are any clones summoned while in the prison, then there is a +5% total stamina upkeep, per post per person, multiplied by the number of clones.
Muse Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 |Crap;; I guess I should post something. c:| Usually the passive one in the group, as Bara would often go along with their plans; whether it be a devilish scheme or not. Today was different, as she questioned of her family , rather than herself for one instance. The Yamanaka did not know the leader entirely well, but when judging from his survival tactics in the war zone, she realized he was formidable and dangerous if she darted the other way. I should wait, just to be given further instructions. Everytime she had taken a step towards her home, she grew apart from her love. Takumi is probably convincing them of rewarding me with a clean Hitai-Ate, and not a medal with a slash across it. The explosions coming from her home changed her mind. "I'm just hearing things," It began as something just to clear the goosebumps from her skin, later coming off as a chant- Only because the noise was incessant, and the volume at it's peak. |I chose 2, heh. xD;]
Baromosa Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 (edited) The metal cage that clanged around them certainty was a surprise to Baromosa. This was probably the last thing he would have expected for a trap, and well.... it happened anyways. "Don't panic. We'll blow this thing down." Baro said quickly to their youngest member, then added to the uchiha, "Taiyaki, I'll need your help with this." Making a quick seal, the risks of a fire jutsu this close range while tightly boxed in wasn't specifically known to Baro, but knowing that he had to to maximum damage to one side of the metal cage, he tried to direct the attack at a central point on the wall in front of him. A scalding hot orb of fire was being compressed into his hands, throwing light and colors around the dark box, and everyone would notice the abundance of heat. A deep groan emanated from Baromosa's chest as he got used to the new pain. He burned the same hands several times, and it was starting to get old. But with a light roar, he shoved that fire orb into the steel, making sparks fly before it erupted and the flames spread over the entire surface. .:Katsu wa Chusshin:. cntrstrk14 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Following within a few paces of the others, trailing behind, Tsubasa would be focusing on the sound ninja in front of them as the cage would be dropped. Wincing as the metal would slam around him he would look to his sides to see that he had been trapped along with three others as well, two of which he had 'met' on the return trip. Keeping quiet he would watch as the one called Baromosa would speak a few encouraging words. 'Who the fuck does he think he is?', Tsubasa thought to himself as he watched the man now drawing chakra to his palms and form a fireball. Without a word of protest Tsubasa would take a quick look at the metalic chamber, and take a step back, lifting his arms to protect his own face. This seemed like a bad idea in general, but Tsubasa would see what kind of damage was done to the cage before he would comment about the other man's methods. In the mean time he would worry about protecting his own body. [HP: 250 | CHK: 300 | STM: 300 ]
Takius Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Taiyaki's nerves had been stretched eerily tight from the moment he had stepped foot into his home village. Gone were the dreamer's thoughts of a happy homecoming; in their place was now a cold knot of acceptance. Who was he to think that just because the main war was over that the rest of the world would also be free instantly? The box sliding noisily over them only confirmed his uneasy premonitions. Baromosa's words filled the hollow, shocked silence that permeated the cage after the ambush. The Uchiha was not one to panic, and after a quick, sweeping examination of the box, deduced that remaining inside the box would only leave them open to more attack. Apparently, Baromosa reached the same conclusion, too, as he sprung into action immediately with a Katon jutsu. Heat and smoke filled the confined area. An angry and molten circle of red glowered from the middle of a charred area on the wall that Baromosa had targeted. Even through the acrid ash, Taiyaki started mixing the Chakra in his body, changing it into the elemental type that he had only learned to control a few days before. A blinding light crackled into life after the final hand seal; it expanded into a blasting arc of lightning Chakra as it soared through the air, slamming forcefully into the wall. Still, the wall did not crumble, though it did dent considerably – the Uchiha was conserving his Chakra, wary of the dangers that lurked outside… hopefully the latest addition to the party would be able to finish the wall off? Protecting the majority of his body as the fire would fly over him, the heat breathing along his limbs, Tsubasa would be unlucky enough to have his pant leg catch on fire. Shaking it violently to put out the flames he would manage to smother them as the other man would perform his lightning jutsu on their containment. In Tsubasa's eyes, this was an even dumber move than the first as the cage was metal and could be a conductor of electricity. Luckily as the attack hit it would seem that it wasn't at all. "Watch what the hell you're doing!!!", Tsubasa would yell at Baromosa, his temper rising at the lack of control from the other ninja. Using such a reckless technique in this small area obviously wasn't a sound plan, as his pant leg could testify towards, the skin singed where his pants had caught, leaving a burn mark that was decently obvious to see. With Jin's final kick to the severely melted and weakened steel cage, it looked like they had accomplished their objectives. Still, Tsubasa seemed to be the unlucky member of the group and looked like he was being scorched. "Would you rather we stay locked up?" Baro retorted back to him, but cast a careful eye over his burn marks. They seemed superficial, and did not require immediate medical attention. He was sorry that his quickest course of action was blasting the frame of the cage they had been trapped in, but even worse could have been what would await a delay. Poison, knocked unconscious for questioning? Torture? Or perhaps just a quickly dealt death. Any of those options would have been greatly opposed to Baromosa without a fair fight and still believed his wisdom was the correct one. "If everyone is alright, lets get out of this thing." Azure Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 Once the Hyuuga saw the metallic prison crash on the Konohagakure shinobi entering the city, the Hyuuga needed to make a split second decision. There was too much unmarked land in the forest to call it safe during these times; Takumi had his own faith in those captured. The unnamed shinobi of the rice fields displayed foreign seals to his nation and whipped the arm of a tree branch at Takumi. The Hyuuga's defensive position was penetrated by the wood; slipping by and braising his skin. There was no open wound caused by the swiping branch, but the initial sting was enough to cringe at. In a plight, Takumi made a sudden decision to dash at the sound shinobi, making a frontal punch at his abdomen. Suddenly, his fingers formed a hand seal and the Hyuuga puffed in to a plume of smoke. A pile of crispy leaves were his entrails, as his hand grappled the vest of the shinobi from behind. Hoisting the Otogakure soldier over his shoulder, the Hyuuga took a few fast paces before tossing him further in to the deadly forest. His eyes caught the sight of another shinobi, one that didn't appear hostile, and one that fit the description of another Konohagakure child. "Bara is it? Yatako told me briefly about you. I don't have much time, find the ninja hiding in this forest!” His voice was quick, soon disappeared as the body of the Hyuuga chased after the prey he sought. • Every 200 words roll a d100. The hole in which Baromosa tried to carve succeeded, followed by a blazing hole where the circular door now was. In such a short time, the village setting had altered. Through the smoky haze, their eyes would see Soujiro's fist come in contact with a ninja's face, resulting in the specific individual to fall unconscious. Soujiro and Tsukasa jumped to a building's tip and began scaling the tops, disappearing from sight. The priest meandered towards the group left behind. "Come, we must treat the hurt. There comes a time when we must abstain from battle to help others, who make the world go ‘round.” The priest said flatly. A brief respite from the battle was their next step; most of them were too inexperienced to be within the village walls to begin with. However, their actions would be judged in many more ways than one. A sudden flash of light from the priest's staff would heal their wounds and energy slightly. The priest would lead the group, were they still following him, to a secure area where the wounded and sick laid on the streets. acillies45 Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Jinsoku followed the priest out of the cage and to the area where the injured lay. He took a sigh of relief and waited for insturctions. When told what to do, he looked at all the patients. He didnt know more than first aid, which is what most of the patients would need. He grabbed a medical bag that wasnt being used and walked over to a patient. (200 starting now) He sat down and looked at the person, it was a boy who was burned pretty well. The boy seemed to have been crying and still some tears flowed. Jinsoku tried to put on a smile, but it was hard to see anyone in this position. "Hey..." He said to the boy. "Im gong to help...It might hurt a little, but you look pretty tough, right?" The boy smiled through the tears and nodded. Jinsoku looked through the bag and found a few towels. He smiled. "Ill be right back, I need to get these wet." he said turning and going over to a make-shift sink and putting the rags in cool water. He had had many burns when he was practicing his firefly jutsu and knew the temperature had to be just right, not too cold or to hot. Jinsoku turned back and went to the boy. He put a towel around his arm. The boy cryed out, but Jinsoku kept the pressure one. "Im sorry." He said. "I need to do this or your burn wont heal." The boy nodded. Jinsoku smiled. "Remember, if your going to be a ninja, this sort of thing will be nothing." The boy said back "Im not gonna be a ninja. I wanna be a chef." He said smiling. Jinsoku laughed a little. That had been what he had wanted when he was little and he told the boy about that to distract him from the pain. As soon as the towel warmed up, he put another on the burned skin and wrapped some gaus around it. He found a blanket and pilliow and gave it to the child. He smiled, "The medical ninja will be here soon, just wait and they will help you the rest of the way." He then said goodbye to the boy and looked for another patient to help. Word Count: 313
Baromosa Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 A flash of light gave minor relief to Baromosa, healing the pain he felt in his hands. This pleasantness did not last long however, especially when Baro laid his eyes on a street filled with wounded. All sorts of various shinobi laid on the side walk, some beginning to receive care and others no. Jinsoku seemed to jump right in the action, and made a good choice for his first patient as well. Taiyaki looked a great deal more confused at the severity of the wounds, a lost look on his face. "Taiyaki, would you mind helping me with Triage? If you could find the most wounded patients near us and prioritize them, we can work quicker together. I'm a medic, but I could use a good deal more assistance." Baromosa said warmly, smiling at his new teammate. Looking around quickly, Baromosa noticed a group of five shinobi, some looked like they received partial bandaging but needed further assistance. Another few looked like new arrivals that had not been looked over at all. Kneeling down, Baromosa went between the two groups with his partner and looked at each of the two groups. "Now, a good way to start is speaking to any of the conscious members to find out what happened, and mean while examining the apparent wounds as well as checking vitals. Pulse, body temperature, breathing. Sound ok?" Baro said over to Taiyaki and let his hand undo the shirt of a wounded shinobi who claimed he had suffered multiple shuriken strikes as well as a severe beating. He was right, internal bleeding was obvious and some of the metal edges were still in his chest. "This is another common occurrence. Swelling around broken bones, and these dark spots from bleeding. These wounds I'll heal, but you can splint a broken arm or a leg." Baro then when he was confident that he and Taiyaki had looked them over, quickly began to 'work his magic.' A passive green glow covered both hands, that he applied to the chest and slowly moved down the abdomen looking for things he missed. Baro was able to carefully heal the bleeding bit by bit, making bruised organs hurt less and sealed any lacerations. Words: 370
Takius Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) [Fire Damage – 43, not burned ] [Blind - 18, not blinded] [Burn - 27, not burned] It was strange – the whole thing had been nothing more than a distraction? Even as he followed the slightly dazed group – at least one of whom was slightly singed around the edges – Taiyaki didn't let his guard down. Soon, however, the moving group reached a smaller, enclosed area. Here, the wounded were being tended to and continually being carted in. It seemed as if – at least here – the war was still raging. With a somber expression on his visage, the Uchiha watched as the ninja who had been late before went straight to working. Baromosa quickly recruited him to work – not that he was complaining, of course. Taiyaki had just about no experience at all working with medical procedures save for the very few first aid skills that had been taught at the Academy those many years ago. The memories were a bit fuzzy at best – Taiyaki's injuries back in Fang had been treated by actual medical nin, after all – but quickly with Baromosa's pointers and succinct instructions, they returned. In the relative quiet of cloth being ripped and wrapped into bandages and bindings, he built up a steady rhythm with his new teammate. Taiyaki would very quickly scan over an injured patient and then relay the information to Baromosa, directing him to the most critical points of injury. In this way, they made swift progress. 234 words. (234 + 370)/200 = 3.02 patients so far. Edited November 26, 2008 by Takius
Baromosa Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) Taiyaki's help made this important task go by so much easier. They were able to get three patients stabilized and feeling much better then when they arrived. Now the less critical patients were being bandaged with the cloth Taiyaki ripped, both him and Baro taking care of flesh torn by metal, burned by chakra, and some more serious injuries like concussions and fractures. 'Lets hope we don't need to worry about serious infection. I don't have anything to give them.' Baro thought and made sure the wrapping was tight on the old man he bandaged. This group was good, now it was time to move on. "Alright, let's take care of the group over here." Baromosa stated, seeing how the men and women in the next group over were just as bad off. 'Where do they all come from? Are there really this many hurt...' he thought for a moment, but the expression on his face returned to the bright and warm bedside manner he always showed. True concern for every last person was always his way. "Multiple punctures, surprisingly not that much bleeding. Your going to be fine." Baro smiled at the young female kunoichi and worked on her straight away, applying the bandages. Her wounds didn't require his chakra based healing, though Baromosa didn't envy the pain she would feel over the next week. "What do you see Taiyaki?" Baro called over, concentrating on looking at wounds. He trusted his partner enough to make his own judgments without having to have his hand held. He learned so quickly after all, another mark of an Uchiha. "This one doesn't look good.... he's not conscious." Baro said urgently, but tried not to panic. Checking his chest, he was breathing very faintly and the pulse seemed as a whisper. Concentrating too much to speak, Baromosa quickly poured chakra into a medical ninjutsu to begin frantic treatment. If that didn't work, he would revert to basic CPR. Baro was not afraid to get into a serious spot. (234 + 705) / 200 = 4.69 Patients Edited November 26, 2008 by Baromosa
Takius Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 As they both worked, Taiyaki watched Baromosa at his work. The boy was obviously experienced as a medical nin from the way he confidently maneuvered the paltry amount of utensils they had been provided with. The green glow of curative Chakra from his hands only proved to solidify Taiyaki's hypotheses. The two made good time as they briskly stabilized the condition of several patients and moved on. The Uchiha nodded to Baromosa's words, his face a mask of stoic serenity as he continued to aid his partner in the delicate process of saving human lives. The thoughts going through his head uncontrollably reverted to his clan – were any of the shinobi here related to him… were any of the wounded here here because of one of his kinsmen? As Baromosa finished patching up the previous kunoichi – who had suffered several wounds from being stabbed, luckily not in any vital areas – Taiyaki casually moved on to the next person in line. The first thing that struck the teen was that this one wasn't moving at all. Instead, there was a sickly pale pallor to his skin. When the Uchiha pressed his fingertips experimentally to the man's neck, they came away chilled and clammy. A thin film of cold sweat slicked the man's skin, and his pulse was ghostly. Baromosa pointed out the obvious after a quick scan of the man. More healing Chakra was pumped out of his hands as Taiyaki stood by, feeling helpless. Seconds stretched uneasily into eons until Baromosa motioned wordlessly for Taiyaki to place his hands over the man's chest. The more medically inclined nin taught Taiyaki the simple motions of thrusting his hands to encourage the man's heart to start beating again. The thoughts of his clan had evaporated in this moment now – and though Taiyaki didn't know this man (not his name, his village, nothing), he wanted to save this man's life. 320 words. 554 words in all.
