Effect: If the target of this technique is under the effects of the status effect ‘Terrified’ when this technique is used, this technique gains a +25% chance to critically strike the target. 

Description: A technique designed by Hayashi Tetsuo to capitalize on the fear of his cowering opponents. This technique makes use of some of the more common striking styles in Kumogakure no Sato, but incorporates the power of the yokai sealed within him to prey on the weaknesses that it generates. To perform this technique the user makes a series of quick feints, followed a powerful elbow from the enemy’s weak side. The feints often tend to distract scared targets enough to cause serious damage. The user then finished the technique by delivering an overhead, axe-handle strike between the target’s shoulder blades, slamming them into the ground.

Damage: 120

Effect: This technique may only be used in the Response Phase. When this technique is performed, the damage from an unresolved physical attack targeting the user is reduced by an amount equal to the damage dealt by this technique. If the damage of that technique is reduced to 0, all effects are negated. Any excess damage remaining after this technique is used is dealt to the user of the unresolved technique (they are entitled to a dodge roll). This technique has a 15% chance to fail. This technique is treated as a weapon attack when determining modifiers. The user sacrifices their next 2 Main Phases after this technique is used, the user may not perform a technique in their following Response Phase. This technique may be used 2 times per battle. The abilities of the weapon used for htis attack are applied to this techniques damage/effect.

Description: Hayashi Tetsuo’s ultimate defense, the Judgement Blade technique utilizes his black blade and its fell powers to slice through anything that might harm him. A strong enough slash of the blade will bring the user straight through the enemy’s attack and drive the blade home into their exposed flesh. The strength of this technique makes it very valuable, allowing the user to immediately counter attack the opponent before they have a chance to mount a second attack, but it takes a great toll on the user’s body, causing them to require a few seconds of rest after the attack is used, leaving them open. It is best utilized as a last ditch attempt to escape an attack and kill the enemy.

First one looks fine.

As far as I know, response phase jutsu that also deal damage are a hard and fast no. I do see that you have some hefty drawbacks, but i would bring in Tony on this, just to be sure.

It's all a tempo thing. Losing 2 turns while dealing damage with an RPJ is the same as losing 1 turn and not dealing damage. I do think having Tony look at it is probably a good idea though.

Dealing damage is a RPJ won't fly. Losing your Main Phase when you can simply damage them in the RPJ makes the loss of Main Phase pointless. Theoretically, if we approve this you could come across more in the future and chain 4-6 turns together of just using RPJ to damage them. 

 

The first technique looks solid though.

50% cost for Critical Bonus because it has the requirement.

Sacrificing two Main Phases + No Response Phase in following turn makes this okay. We will see how it plays.
