cntrstrk14 Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Aveta's Hammer Swimming is hard. And water is wet, and uncomfortable, and cold. Why would I learn how to swim? I mean, I can walk on water after all right? It's not like I'll ever fall in. Whatever. It's a stupid skill anyways, we were born to walk on land, not flail around pretending we're something we're not. It's unnatural. Effect: Character may not swim in role play. Any attempt to swim results in the character needing to be saved by an outside source. This character is takes triple damage from the status effect 'Choking' when afflicted by way of water. In addition, this character is 'Afraid; 2' of all opponents when the terrain 'Water' is on the battlefield. Cost: +1 If you take this skill please send me a PM notifying me so I can inform you of any changes or updates.
Kouta Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Is there some kinda class you can take to negate this hindering? A sunday course at the Y perhaps?
cntrstrk14 Posted September 23, 2007 Author Posted September 23, 2007 Yes, there is. Its also know as 'Overcoming your Problems'
Azure Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Well, it's possible, in theory, to train to overcome your hindering or any skills. I've seen positive skills be unlearned. Don't know if there's an official ruling on it or not, but as it is; Approved.

cntrstrk14 Posted February 24, 2017 Author Posted February 24, 2017 Updated! - Cost reduced to +1. There is no way I can make a 'can't swim' skill worth more than +1 in a game that doesn't take place normally on water. Way too narrow. - Changed Drowning to Choking and adjusted the modifier to be 3x instead of 2x. - Instead of all in on the Choking portion I changed the secondary bonus to be an Afraid status effect applied while Water is on the field.
