You then subtract from ‘x' your Ninjutsu modifier, and you have ‘y'. Total cost cannot go lower than zero. If the attack is a melee Ninjutsu (cause the opponent to get within 5 feet of the user) the user may pay an additional 90 chakra to cause the opponent to be ‘Burned' for 3 turns. User looses their main phase. May be used to shield an ally in battle, if your turn falls between the one where they are attacked and their own turn. When this technique is used, the user leaves behind some item with Seal; Jutsu formula (術式, "Jutsu-shiki") upon it, and when returning use that item to guide them back. The time that can be spent within the summon plane is limited, as they do not actually fully exist, their body only being projected into this realm. Their existence is actually being stretched between the two worlds, trying to ricochet back to its own plane. Get X, which is generally some very large number of damage. Then subtract it from your Ninjutsu Modifier. You know what? Your Ninijutsu Modifier is usually a number no larger than 1 or 2 hundred. What if X is bigger than your ninjutsu mod? You pay Negative Chakra to use the jutsu (Meaning you'd gain chakra when you use it)? I need some explanation here, because that makes little sense. Earthy Clone Dealio: -- Again, your costing methods fail you. I think nearly ALL clones are underpriced, but then, I'll bring that up in the Admin section later. Right now I'm talking about your clone. Take a gander at this clone jutsu: Sand Clone (Suna Bunshin no Jutsu)Type: Ninjutsu (Sand) Rank: Chuunin Cost: 50 per clone Effect:: Each Sand Clone has 1/10 stats of the user, but only 1hp. They are automatically hit by any attack that includes them as a target (they get no dodge roll). Description: The clones of sand are quite obviously not the original and pose no threat, but they will eagerly throw themselves between their creator and harm to keep them safe, often proving a hassle to get by. Points: 3 Now, these clones are auto hit, they only get 10% of all stats, and have 1 HP, and they cost 50 chakra. I understand the entire "Higher Rank" bit, but for a clone that is more than Twice as Powerful (over 7 times more in the case of Accuracy), and DOESN'T get auto-smashed by jutsu, 30 chakra is far too cheap...
cntrstrk14 Posted September 24, 2007 Author Posted September 24, 2007 Well the idea is that you start with a larger number than the regular negation technique. Usually it is based on base damage or cost of the technique, but by making it base + modifiers you start at the largest. Then you subtract your ninjutsu mod from that number, so you are running the risk that you will be paying more than the base damage of the technique. So you seem to have that right, I should probably state that you cannot go negative on the price, I will put a minimum cost on it, though I doubt I will ever use it in said situation because I will probably take near to no damage from the attack anyways since the enemy mod/ base damage is so low... As for the clones, I was actually basing them off this clone... Soil Clone (Iwa Bunshin no Jutsu)Type: Ninjutsu (Earth) Rank: Chuunin Cost: 75 per clone (max of 3 clones on the field) Effect:: Each Soil Clone has 1/4 stats of the user, but only 1hp. They are automatically hit by any attack that includes them as a target (they get no dodge roll). Description: In similar fashion with any other clone technique, Iwa Bunshin No Jutsu can make up to several clones made out of soil from the ground. Used to trick the opponent in a clever way. When the opponent hits one of these clones, it turns back into soil but latches onto the opponent, thus hindering his/her movement. Points: 3 I am all for upping the cost to say, 50 or so per clone.
