Ravage Nocturne Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 (edited) Bisexuality Archetype: Regular Hindering Trait Description: Physical attraction, although typically gender-oriented, remains a subtle facet of the human psyche, and as such, some people are less restrictive of what appeals to their tastes, allowing them to grow attentive of either gender non-specifically Effect: Any and all effects that specifically target gender now apply to this character, regardless of the intended target audience Cost: +1 "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I behold a great many things~" (Although I understand the rarity of gender-oriented jutsu, I find it essential for my character, and have tagged it with +1, since I do believe now and then it could prove detrimental in combat. However, I am a reasonable man, and I believe that if necessary, I could be talked down to a +0 if it's deemed more appropriate.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edited October 9, 2011 by Ravage Nocturne
Hardcore Skittlez Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I feel like for the effect that you have in "bisexuality", it would require pervert for both genders. Even so, the skill seems... unnecessary. For Sadomasochism- I think that this has been done before, but I can't say for certain. For the effect itself, I think it's okay at +2.

Can certainly just discard it and use it as an IC optional crutch, if necessary, but the effects of pervert are a little more than what I was looking for For S&M, if there is something like this out there, I'd appreciate someone letting me know. I didn't want to step on anyone's design, but I couldn't find anything.
Eechi-go Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I'm personally fine with that +1. After all, you can slap something like Chakra Leak on someone who'll never use Taijutsu and still have roughly the same chance of that actually hindering the person later on. As for the second one...wouldn't 'Charmed' be a bit more appropriate? Though that's mostly my own amusement, I too think it's okay at +2, but just throwing my two cents out there if it hasn't already been made.

Originally I had thought so as well, but closer examination proves that charmed is more of an infatuation, where this was (for sake of public audience) toned down to being a mirthful reverence in pain, to which I felt fazed was most logical
cntrstrk14 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I feel like a 20% chance on being hit to gain a 15 dp/turn effect should be +1, not +2. Otherwise I am fine with these.

Appreciate the feedback. Have altered the cost to be +1. I had debated the initial cost myself but had believed in the case of multiple attacks (Say, basic attacks, etc.) and the fact that it can affect a character dealing or receiving damage coupled with the fairly high chance, a +2 wasn't unreasonable. However, that said, the effect truly isn't horrendous, so I have no complaints, just a desire to provide my train of thought during creation.
Ravage Nocturne Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 Update: have removed sadomasochism, as I feel that it really wasn't going to effectively convey itself in a combat scenario. I think it best to keep it an aspect of roleplay rather than attempting to integrate it into the battle system. Apologies for this sudden resignation, though I would still love to get the Bisexuality trait approved if possible
Azure Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I feel that since like Eechi said, you really can build your character on cheaper things for hindering, this is fine. It just means that we need more creative gender oriented jutsu (of which thousand years of pain should apply!) Approved.

You know me, always trying to encourage people to approach something differently. That was actually the inception for this skill at all. Normally I was simply going to RP her indifference, but I came to realize that no one really takes advantage of that sort of effect, and I didn't understand why not. Aside from being effective, it is also humorous. Maybe people just need to lighten up some.
cntrstrk14 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Killed because this is stupid as fuck. Like confederate statues, this belongs in a museum as a reminder of times when we were dumber.
