A cost of at least 20 Chakra must be paid to 'activate' and 'maintain' the ability to afflict an enemy with a status) -- Description: Glimmering milky silver; as bright as the hues of a gleaming star of the North in the blackened sky. Made of a material that is as light, soft and flexible as leather, but strong like steel; these dual gauntlets were made. Their absolute true origins of the beginning of these gloves are unknown; lost to history and the mouths that knew of its creation. Some foretold they were the artwork of angels, tailoring and crafting the weapons. Only a few souls have seen these mitts; those who have touched it claim to feel radiance breathing from its entity. The Shōuri-te heralding from many aspects, a combination of both the mortal world and the realm of angels and beings not found in the physical dimension. A singular characteristic power found inhibited to the Shōuri-te is the infusion to the element of Wind. On the left gauntlet, the symbol '‘勝利’ is engraved, the symbol of triumph. Likewise on the right are the symbols ‘高揚’, translating to exaltation. In the days when a man named Yochi Naoki had discovered these gauntlets, it was only a day or two after did he disappear, once for all. He was never heard from again, no word of his leaving, no reports of him ever leaving or his belongings missing. The locals that knew him were frightened, they thought shinobi were at play, terrorizing their homes. He was a kind boy, only reaching up in to his teenage years when he faded from civilization. The Shōuri-te were branded in to legend as cursed in some views, in others they were blessed. Along with Naoki, the Shōuri-te also vanished. The truth behind the legend of Naoki was an ulterior event; Naoki was drafted in to the Hōhken clan, part of his initiation test was to venture and find the Shōuri-te of legend. He had been successful and was granted passage in to the clan. When he was tasked with the responsibility within the Hōhken clan to aid in the end of the Kumogakure Empire, he had made a decision, to pass on the Shōuri-te to a promising candidate. It was a difficult decision, but he had weighed his assignment with the defect of the clan, who had went against orders and would play a key obstacle in the war. He needed to pass the Shōuri-te to one who would play a vital role in the World Resistance, to bring down the Kumogakure Empire. He, himself could not reap the true benefits of the Shōuri-te, there needed to be someone strong in the physical body, along with other aspects. While conducting intelligence missions, he had come upon the discovery of a man by the name of Hyuuga Yatako. He had been tipped off, by a fellow member of the Hōhken clan that had met Yatako, during his travels to the mount of the Great Birds. After observing Yatako and his pilgrimage; Naoki concluded that Yatako would be the sought after candidate for the Shōuri-te. He held a strong conviction about him, strong in the Taijutsu ways and he shared the elemental affinity for Wind, as did the Shōuri-te. Noting that Yatako was quickly gaining the friendship of Alchem Syaoran, who would play a strongly vital role in the uprising; he decided it was finally time. But he could not simply deliver the gauntlets. He had to initiate a ceremony of sorts, to pass off the rites. Naoki had concocted a hybrid jutsu of Genjutu and Ninjutsu, used on Yatako as he slept within the Alchem estates. The Genjutsu would urge his body to leave the house, while Naoki passed on the Shōuri-te to the Hyuuga. A Carol of sorts had to be spoken, laced in chakra so that Yatako would be able to remember the hymn, but only after a trigger of events. Naoki had taken the risk that he would be spotted, even in his pale midnight blue cloak, strung with beads and colorful gems. The likelihood that he would be seen again was low, but there was still a chance. Yatako, however, was slightly aware as to what was going on, but the jutsu instilled on him prevented him from opening his eyes and focusing. He was under a constant state of grogginess and in some instances, his Byakugan flickered on, through his eyelids. When he was lead, in slumbering transit back to his room, his body crept back under the sheets and was bound to the state of sleep until the sun rose over the horizon. It would be the second time Yatako had unwillingly met a member of the Hōhken clan, that was more than most people would in their life. -- Somatic Mortality This weapon may not be unequipped or disarmed by means other than the user’s will. This weapon is also incorporated into all Taijutsu attacks, aside from basic attacks using anything other than hands. All skill bonus’ from Taijutsu may be used in conjunction with this weapon, but not weapon skills that have similar effects. This weapon also counts as one weapon, but if a second weapon is held and/or used, that weapon is used in replacement of this one, excluding small weapons. Triumphant Ordain Whenever this weapon attacks a 'shield' type jutsu of the shinobi's rank or lower, the damage dealt to the shield is considered 1.5x the base damage of the jutsu. Cherubic Tempest When a Taijutsu attack used when this weapon is equipped and is dodged, the opponent will make a second roll, with half of their evasion mod. In the event that they fail to dodge, they will receive damage equal to one fourth of the original attack, without any effects of the jutsu. This may only be used with hand based Taijutsu. Zephyr of Manus The effect of the Wind Elemental Affinity now gives a 10% bonus to Taijutsu damage rather than Ninjutsu damage. Cost: $2550 Edited January 3, 2008 by Azure

Triumphant OrdainTaijutsu used while this weapon is equipped is now to be considered of equal rank of the user. Denied. This is the ‘something for nothing' concept I've fought to reduce for months. How would a simple punching Jutsu improve because you're wearing a seemingly mystical glove?
Azure Posted December 24, 2007 Author Posted December 24, 2007 'Clobbered' does not have a usage cap and I got it off the main site, so if there's a problem with it, I didn't make it :x And ok, I didn't feel it would be worth pursuing attempting to get that ability approved. So I changed the ability in to something different.

Triumphant Ordain: 'shield' type jutsu equal or less than the user's Shinobi rank.
Azure Posted December 24, 2007 Author Posted December 24, 2007 That's kind of important to have on the main site, I'm wondering why it's not there D: But I changed it to Confused instead, things should still check out, I don't believe that there is a cap limit on that either and I added that part on to the attribute.
Azure Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 Added a new special effect and upped the price a bit because of it.
Matthias Drake Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Basic stuff is $1270 The rest I'd say is about $800, so $2070.

Azure Posted December 31, 2007 Author Posted December 31, 2007 (edited) It wouldn't, but there are also no direct classifications of taijutsu outside of RP element in the system. However, most Taijutsu involve hand attacks or a combination. Of course that doesn't mean you're wrong. For the system classification, it incorperates all of taijutsu in to a general 'web', and not splittign up in to different categories like Elemental Ninjutsu. It's much like the same for Genjutsu, there are many different branches off of it for different RP elements, but according ot the system, everything's considered Genjutsu. Which, is what is applied here. Edited December 31, 2007 by Azure
