Height: 5'10" | 179.07 cm

Weight: 144 lbs | 65.32 kg

Hair: Medium, unkempt, grey

Eyes: Sharply shaped, Basil (green)

Description:

Be it his wintry grey hair or his mellifluous eyes- Hatake Tagayasu is a man that stands out in a crowd. For anyone with any experience with other members of his clan, he appears much as one might expect; the man's hair makes up for its nearly colorless hue with unkempt character in spades, always spilling over the line of his headband with little concern for looking particularly respectable. Occasionally framed by his monochromatic strands is Tagayasu's countenance- a composite of Yuki no Kuni's high-but-slender cheekbones and the Hatake's narrow jaw line, punctuated with sharply shaped eyes and a relatively small nose.

His physique is toned as any shinobi's could be expected to be, though he shows no outward signs of deliberate bulking. Instead, his body aptly reflects the less severe nature of his preferred fighting style- focusing on agility over strength. Tagayasu's skin leans toward the pale spectrum, reflecting his homeland's northern location; though he has his share of knicks and scars from shinobi combat, most of these are covered by his shinobi garb. As many ninja are known to do, he tends to prefer the very same shinobi attire even when not immediately on a mission, though he can be seen without his flak jacket frequently enough.

Synopsis:

Often described as a single-minded individual, Tagayasu is the sort of man who dedicates his entirety to the mastery of a craft when he sets out to do it; this penchant for perfectionism ranges from his curious choice in musical instrument to his romantic endeavors. Though he continually strives to achieve the pinnacle of his performance in a given field(assuming, of course, that he has deigned such a thing to be worthy of his efforts), this Hatake is not the sort of perfectionist that takes his failures personally. It is quite the opposite, in fact- he considered every stumble a worthwhile learning opportunity and only takes failure critically if there was not a lesson to be learned in it. He does not often like to compare himself to others in anything more than a teasing fashion, as he considers each person to learn and perform according to their own qualities, and he finds it nonsensical to be upset that a large man can lift more weight than a small one. Despite this, he takes a great deal of pride in the effort that he does put forth and often considers the result of his work to be well above average, even if that average is not directly associated with the performance of another.

When working with others, Tagayasu is met with mixed results. He’s not a generally disliked individual, but that is primarily due to the calmer nature of his personality when not actively working to make an impression on someone. That being said, the man’s priorities are often met with great scrutiny and can get in the way of more important missions- he would rather flirt that fight and will almost always opt for a nonviolent approach, even going so far as to attempt to convince opponents not to fight in the midst of their battle. He does enjoy combat only as far as treating it as a mental exercise-- a game like chess or go; if he does not feel challenged by an opponent, he may work to quickly bring the battle to a close… or even surrender and accept the “shame of defeat” if it allowed him to stop doing something he did not enjoy.

A pursuit of enjoyment or entertainment is a strong underlying characteristic of Tagayasu. He does not like to do things that are not fun or enriching, and similarly will blow off duties if they are not immediately fun or do not obviously lead to a more entertaining encounter. The pinnacle of his failures in this regard is his habit of placing women and romance above all other things-- to such an extent that he is exactly the type of individual that might be lured away from a post with some “innocuous” flirtation.

As a shinobi, Tagayasu only pushes himself hard enough to ensure missions that might fuel his hobbies. He accepts only as many missions are necessary to sustain his hobbies, and only rarely will accept ones outside of his normal scope of an “acceptable workload”- and those are primarily used to build up a bank account that might facilitate traveling the world.

History

☸ Prologue  | The Springtime of False Fates

The story of Hatake Tagayasu begins not at his birth- or even at the beginning of his parents’ admittedly rocky relationship, but instead with the forging of two ‘married’ swords. Some thirty years ago, a blacksmith by the name of Aragane Tsutomu set out to create a weapon manufacturing empire the likes of which the world had never before experienced. Before endeavoring to remove himself forever from the forge, he decided to make one final masterpiece- a blade, or pair of blades, that would forever encapsulate his passion and skill as a smith. These blades took nearly a year in their entirety to forge and went through many prototypes, each of which being packaged and sold at criminally discounted prices; when they were completed, Tsutomu stepped away from his forge, satisfied that he had ‘peaked’ as a smith. The blades were modeled for the primordial forces of Yin and Yang and were named. “Kōkai (後悔)” was given to the black, Yin, blade- a symbol that he might never regret the path he was now choosing, and “Manzoku (満足)” was given to the white, Yang, blade- a reflection that he now cast off the ideal of “satisfaction” and that he would never stop reaching for more in this life. These blades had taken such a toll on his mind and body that Tsutomu spent a year recovering in the company of a woman who, to their mutual disappointment, would never become his wife. As for Kōkai and Manzoku- the married blades were given away as the final symbol on Tsutomu’s moving above and beyond his station as a blacksmith; though they were treasured by their new owner, it did not take long for their quality to grant their wielder confidence that exceeded his skill. The original recipient was slain and the blades separated to pass through the hands of many warriors.

And many warriors did wield the blades, until each had fallen into the hands of Hatake Kōsaku and Fuyukuma Towakō, of Konohagakure and Yukigakure, respectively. For the first time since the blades’ inception, they were brought together. The two shinobi from differing nations clashed several times upon the battlefield, though they proved to be quite equal- enough that they gained great respect for one another. With each clash, they understood that their blades were not meant to work against one another, but were rather part of a unit- a pair of blades that together would be unstoppable. In this, they saw fate- and believed their destiny was to be joined. Hatake Kōsaku and Fuyukuma Towakō married after a small handful of years skirting around the rules of their villages. At the time of their marriage, Towakō realized that Yukigakure was quite poor compared to Konohagakure and she wished to liberate herself from working for scraps; she took the first opportunity to forsake Yuki no Kuni and travel to Hi no Kuni. Here, she lived alongside Kōsaku and the pair were… a curious couple.

No longer driven together by the passion of battle and the supposed call of “destiny” to unite their blades, the relationship between Kōsaku and Towakō cooled quite quickly. For a time, they tolerated each other, but they eventually grew to loathe each other. Towakō believed that Kōsaku had lured her away from her home and family with false promises, and Kōsaku believed that Towakō had used him as a means of escaping the poverty of Yuki no Kuni. And so they fought- and in their aggression, their attraction for one another sparked again. This was the married life of these two strange individuals- as their fights would eventually cease, tempered by their incessant lovemaking, they would quickly again realize that they did not actually care for one another and begin fighting anew. Each time that this happened, they would believe that destiny again pitted them together and that it was not their place to separate, and so the cycle continued- even after the conception and birth of our protagonist: Hatake Tagayasu.

☸ Chapter 1 | The Summer of Abundant Melodies

Hatake Tagayasu was a mild-mannered child. As one might have expected of most Hatake children, he was quiet and contemplative- seeming to focus more on learning how to properly interact with the world that he lived in rather than wailing against the inevitability of boundaries. He did not fuss when it came time to enroll in school, and for the most part, seemed to enjoy the early ninja academy. Tagayasu placed around or slightly above average in most fields and only seemed to excel when it came to forward thinking and strategy implementation, though his hypothetical stratagems would occasionally fail due to his own personal lack of skill. By the projections of his teachers, he was perhaps even less skilled than each of his parents individually, and was only able to be considered their superior in the field of cleverness. And, indeed, the boy was clever- clever enough that he schemed constantly to get out of doing any work. It was believed by some of his teachers that he might have some hidden reservoir of talent that was obscured entirely by his willingness to half-perform on most tests in order to deliberately lower expectations of him. His parents did notice this about him, but were often more concerned with each other than they were with raising him… in truth, he was more or less communally raised by the other members of the Hatake clan. It was because of this that Tagayasu took to solitude and quiet observation. He decided early on that he wanted to capture the same energy that his parents had when dealing with one another and, in his worldly inexperience, decided that passion and love was more important that strength or skill.

Tagayasu was nearing graduation from Konohagakure’s shinobi academy when the tragedy that was Kumogakure’s blitzkrieg occurred. Though he was well protected by both of his parents, the boy’s mother had finally decided that this was the final straw in her relationship with his father-- this was the hand of fate showing her that she had made a mistake in moving to Konoha after all. Not wanting to remain and participate in the resistance movement of a nation that she honestly did not care about, she took Tagayasu and returned to the cold shelter of her homeland, believing that they would be safe from Kumogakure’s influence in such a remote region.

☸ Chapter 2 | The Fall of The World

In Yukigakure, Tagayasu was re-enrolled in the shinobi academy and acclimated quickly to his new classmates, though they were decidedly less kind than their Konohagakure counterparts. His behaviors continued much as they had before, though adjusted for the chilly demeanor of his new “friends”. Within the year, however, Kumogakure had stretched far enough to assume control over Yukigakure, and Tagayasu’s training was adjusted to accommodate the needs of Kumogakure’s Empire. Fortunately, his tendency to underperform left him free to pursue his other interests as he needed, as his new teachers believed that he would never amount to anything more than a common foot-soldier.

Tagayasu focused the majority of his efforts on learning the crafts of romance, as determined by such “reliable” sources as romcom movies and penny romance novels. He learned the art of needlessly flowery poetry, music performed by a rare instrument, and ‘spontaneous’ gestures of romance. The boy quickly became obsessed with these things and was a nuanced success with the girls in his academy classes. Tagayasu rarely failed to attract the object of his affections, but often found the targets of his romantic games to be boring or uninspired and cast them aside as soon as their childish version of a honey-moon stage ended. Indeed, he felt that for all the preaching girls did about romantic gestures, they were woefully inadequate at performing the gestures themselves. Even beyond his graduation, he was more focused on the pursuit of women and romance than proving himself an exceptional shinobi. Indeed, his progress stalled for several years and he did not advance beyond the status of Genin, even despite the urgings from his increasingly frustrated mother.

With time, Kumogakure’s influence was retracted from Yukigakure, and they were free to wallow in their poverty once again. This all made little difference to Tagayasu- until he realized that without Kumogakure’s superior infrastructure, he would not longer be able to enact such large gestures of romanticism, and most of the families in his village quickly moved away to “greener pastures”. It was this that finally snapped his priorities into place and, for a time, encouraged the lad to focus on his shinobi studies. He believed that if he became skilled enough, he could travel the world and seek the perfect girl at all of the world’s corners.

☸ Chapter 3 | The Warmest Winter

Even despite his best efforts, the quality of training available in Yukigakure after the fall of the N.C.I.A was lackluster at best. Tagayasu had barely managed to be nominated for the position of Chunin at the time that relations between Iwagakure and Yukigakure broke down again in full. Though he had been loosely aware of their conflicts in the past, his abundant absence of skill had left him fairly untapped as a resource at Yukigakure’s disposal. He had no strong opinions about Iwagakure and would often attempt to shift the attention away from his prowess as a shinobi… girls left in the nation of Snow did not seem to prefer weak ninja.

As the war with Iwagakure had delayed his proper training, Tagayasu was made to serve as a pack mule for Yukigakure’s limited supplies; while he could not be trusted to fight, his body was strong enough to run resources and messages as was necessary to coordinate the defense against Iwagakure. For all of his best efforts, he received little recognition by his superiors and was never elevated to the position of Chunin proper.

When the war ended, he was far less upset by the final result than his contemporaries. To him, a relationship with Iwagakure meant that there were more women to be seen and that his ability to earn money would increase dramatically. Though he had missed the Chunin Exams in Kumogakure, Tagayasu was given a private ceremony in his own village and was finally elevated to a rank that he likely could have received some considerable time ago. Without much further complaint, he accepted a reassignment to Iwagakure to serve alongside their military, and moved quickly away from the ever disappointed scowl of his harsh mother.

Towakō could not stand to serve Iwagakure and retired as a shinobi; though she did not approve of Tagayasu’s antics or priorities, she conceded to him the blade that had originally lead to his conception… and the same wielded by his father. It was revealed to him that upon their flight from Kumo and Konohagakure, she had stolen his father’s blade and intended to never again depend upon “Destiny” to determine her fate, romantically or otherwise. Naturally, this resolve had eroded slowly over time by the poverty of her home nation, her son’s own apparent incompetence, and her village’s loss to Iwagakure. She hoped that with each blade in hand, Tagayasu might one day reach the levels of strength that she hoped he was capable of- to exceed both herself and her separated husband.

Combinatorial: Snow | -0 |

Artistic Mastery:

- Journeyman: May gain 2 ranks of 'Merchant' for one (1) skill point.

Path of the Assassin | -1 |

The user is able to purchase specific stats for a weapon with the tag [White Chakra Release] at normal cost for stat additions to weapons. Stats purchased this way are only granted while this skill is activated. As a free action in any phase the user may pay 1% of their total Chakra to activate this skill. In addition, an upkeep of 1% Chakra may be paid each turn at the end of the phase in which this was originally activated to continue the effects. Stats added through the [White Chakra Release] tag may never exceed 5% of the users total base statistics and are not counted within the normal stat limitation for equipment. This is not an advanced system. In addition, when purchasing this skill the user receives a level 10 weapon of either Medium or Large size with +20 [White Chakra Release] stats of their choosing and the attribute 'Unique' if they wish.

Ninjutsu Techniques

Academy

Henge No Jutsu | 変化の術 | Transformation Technique  I
Type: Ninjutsu [Void]
Rank: Academy Student
Cost: 10 Chakra
Effect: During any situation in which a character with this technique would need to calculate their ‘Visibility Score’, they may use this technique to reduce their ‘Visibility Score’ by -10%. ‘Visibility Score’ reduction caused by this technique may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc).
Description: The Transformation Technique is a time-honored staple of nearly every shinobi academy the world over. Its concept and execution are both extremely basic, making it a perfect training technique for young students. By molding chakra around their body, the user of the Transformation Jutsu is able to temporarily take on the physical characteristics of another person. Though the Henge no Jutsu rarely offers a perfect disguise, clever ninja have been using it for hundreds of years to confound their foes.
JP: 1 [Creation; 0]

Genin

Chūnin

Bunshin No Jutsu | 分身の術 | Clone Technique III
Type: Ninjutsu [Void | Evolving; Bunshin No Jutsu II]
Rank: Chūnin
Cost: 5x Chakra
Effect: This technique may be used in the Setup Phase or Main Phase. When determining the cost of this technique ‘x’ is considered to be the number of ‘Clones’ created by the user and may never be greater than 8. ‘Clones’ have 1 Health and 1% of the user’s other statistics. ‘Clones’ are not physical, and may not use items, techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique gains +20 Evasion or +20 Accuracy for every ‘Clone’ on the battlefield. The effects of 'Clones' may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle.
Description: A technique that most students are required to be proficient in before they can graduate from the academy, the Bunshin no Jutsu is the most basic of the myriad of clone techniques that exist in the world. By properly molding their chakra, the user is capable of creating near perfect replicas of themselves. Unlike most bunshinjutsu, the basic clone technique does not produce physical clones but creates something more akin to a projected image, which is a real image that has no form. The Clone Technique is considered an E-Ranked jutsu, and is not very powerful, but with practice and ingenuity many shinobi have come to use it in masterful ways. Most often stalling by hiding out among their clones, or setting themselves up for a strong offensive.
JP: ⁿ/ₐ [Evolving; 2]

Kawarimi No Jutsu | 変わり身の術 | Body Replacement Technique III
Type: Ninjutsu [Void | Evolving; Kawarimi No Jutsu II]
Rank: Chūnin
Cost: x Chakra
Effect: This technique may be performed as a Free Action in the Response Phase following a failed dodge roll. When determining the cost of this technique ‘x’ is equivalent to the cost of 1 basic attack, weapon attack, or Taijutsu that the user failed to dodge. The damage and effects of that basic attack, weapon attack, or Taijutsu are negated. The user may take no action in the Setup Phase or Main Phase on the turn this technique is used. This technique has a 5% chance to fail. This technique may be performed 1 time per battle.
Description: A life-saving technique for most young shinobi, the Body Replacement Jutsu has been a staple in academy learning for many years. By utilizing their ability to manipulate chakra, with quick movement, a skillful shinobi is capable of switching their position with another object to evade damage. By creating a simple optical illusion, the user of the Kawarimi no Jutsu can make it appear as though they were damaged or even killed by the opponent’s attack. Some ninja become extremely adept in the usage of this technique, and have even been known to swap places with hazardous materials to trap their enemies.
JP: ⁿ/ₐ  [Evolving; 2]

Shunshin No Jutsu |  瞬身の術 | Body Flicker Technique  II

Type: Ninjutsu [Void | Evolving; Shunshin No Jutsu I]
Rank: Chūnin
Cost: 120 Chakra
Effect: This technique may be performed in the Response Phase or the Setup Phase;

Response: This technique may be performed in the Response Phase as a Free Action. The user of this technique increases their Evasion statistic by +150 during the turn that this technique is used. (Dodge rolls made during this turn must mention this technique.) This technique has a 5x% chance to fail, with 'x' being equivalent to the number of unresolved attacks targeting the user. This technique may be performed 2 times per battle in the Response Phase.

Setup: The user of this technique increases their Accuracy statistic by +150 during the turn that this technique is used. The user of this technique may not perform another technique in the Setup Phase for 2 turns. This technique may be performed 2 times per battle in the Setup Phase.

Role Play Effect: The user of this technique may reduce the required post-length when Traveling by 25% when performing this technique outside of battle.
Description: One of the basic techniques taught to most students during their time at the academy. The Body Flicker Technique is considered an extremely versatile ability, and is one of the most widely used general shinobi skills. The jutsu itself is a high-speed movement ability that uses chakra to temporarily vitalize the body, allowing movement that is nearly untraceable to the naked eye. The user often disappears from the field of their opponent’s vision in a puff of smoke, as a means to further distract their path of escape. Though Shunshin has many applications, its most common use is in evading hazardous attacks.
JP: 11 [Evolving; 2]

Hyōton: Tsubame Fubuki | 氷遁・ツバメ吹雪 | Ice Release: Swallow Snow Storm II

Type: Ninjutsu [ Hijutsu; Yuki | Snow | Evolving ]

Rank: Chūnin

Cost: 40x Chakra

Damage: 20x

Effect: For the purposes of cost and damage calculation, 'x' is equal to the number of declared strikes in this technique, never exceeding 2. The target of this technique is afflicted with 'Bleeding: 40x' for one (1) turn. If a Fire elemental Response Phase Technique is used against this technique, reduce the cost of that technique by 20% of its base. If the battlefield is currently under the terrain effects of 'Ice' or 'Deep Snow', reduce this technique's cost to 30x.

Description: One of the basic techniques taught to Genin in Yukigakure's academy, the Swallow Snow Storm is a technique that commonly utilizes pre-existing ice to form a volley of needles shaped as Swallows. The Swallow-needles will soar toward their opponent and maim them with sharp 'wings'. Most effective when used with Ice or Snow already present on the battlefield, the Swallow Snow Storm is particularly susceptible to Fire Release counter-techniques.

Type: Taijutsu [style-less | Multi-Hit]
Rank: Genin
Cost: 20 Stamina
Damage: 2x
Effect: When calculating the Damage of this technique 'x' is equivalent to the damage dealt by 1 Small Weapon. This technique deals 2 strikes and both strikes must target the same target. The second strike of this attack is considered a Dynamic Trap with its conditions already met. 2 Small Weapons of the same type must be used to perform this technique. When applying statistical modifiers, this technique is treated as a 'Ranged Weapon' attack. This technique may be used 1 time per battle.
Description: The Kage Shuriken Jutsu has been taught to young ninja for years, both as a practice to enhance one's timing when attacking and as a method for attacking with subterfuge. To perform this attack, the user must throw two fūma shuriken shuriken, the first toss being overt and obvious, and the second being almost imperceptible. To perform this attack successfully, the user hides their second shuriken within the shadow of the first, leaving the target open to the attack, even if the first shuriken is deflected.

Chūnin

Hatake Hijutsu; Bōryaku | 畑秘術 • 謀略 | Hatake Hijutsu; Tactics

Type: Taijutsu [ Hijutsu; Hatake ]

Rank: Chūnin

Cost: 20 Stamina + 20 Chakra

Damage: --

Effect: This technique is used in the Setup Phase and may only be used after successfully dodging an attack via a natural die roll. Treat the next attack, of Chūnin rank or less, used on this turn as if it were a Dynamic Trap with its conditions met. When calculating the Dynamic Trap bonuses and reductions from subsequent uses, treat this technique as if it were the Dynamic Trap being witnessed. This may be used once per battle. After using this technique, the user may not utilize Setup Phase techniques for two (2) turns.

Description: Where the Hatake Clan has traditionally lacked a unifying technique or kekkei genkai, they have been known to remain competitive combatants through cleverness and strategy. Bōryaku is the Hatake principle of tactics wherein they may take advantage of an opponent's misstep and turn it into a punishing maneuver. These strategies often only work once, making the proper usage of them a telling sign of Hatake genius.

Requirements: Hatake Secret Technique; Premonition II

JP: 2

Hatake Hijutsu; Yokaku II | 畑秘術•予覚 | Hatake Secret Technique; Premonition II

Type: Taijutsu [ HIjutsu; Hatake ]
Rank: Chūnin
Cost: 60 Chakra
Effects: Used in the Setup Phase. The user gains 80 'Premonition' points for three (3) turns. During their Response Phase, before a dodge roll is made, the user may spend x 'Premonition' points to increase their Evasion stat by x until the end of this phase. May be used once per battle.
Description: The 'Yokaku' is a form of mental training used within the Hatake clan to sharpen the minds of their youth from a very early age. The clan member takes a moment to clear their mind, gathering the knowledge they know about their opponent and then using it guess their next movements of battle. This type of mental preparation helps the Hatake to understand their opponent and interpret the flow of battle on a deeper level.
JP: Evolving 1

Shuriken Kyokusen no Jutsu | 手裏剣曲線の術 | Shuriken Curving Technique

Type: Taijutsu [ Style-less | Multi-Hit ]

RankChūnin

Cost: 30 Stamina

Damage: x

Effect: This attack is modified as a "Ranged Weapon" attack. When calculating the damage of this technique, x is equivalent to the total damage of 3 Small Weapons in this character's inventory. Those weapons are 'used' by this techinque. The target does not respond to this technique until the turn after their next. Response Phase techniques used against this technique have an additional 10% chance to fail.

Description: Though somewhat advanced among Genin Shuriken Techniques, the Shuriken Curving Technique is a staple of any small weapon user's arsenal. Its application is as simple as its name and is simply a methods in which the user will throw a trio of small weapons(typically shuriken) in such a way that their trajectories will curve and allow them to easily bypass most  defenses, including cover.

Shuriken Kanshō no Jutsu | 手裏剣干渉の術 | Shuriken Collision Technique

Type: Taijutsu [ Style-less | Multi-Hit | Dynamic Trap ]

Rank: Chūnin

Cost: 20 Stamina

Damage: --

Condition: The user must have failed to hit a target with a Thrown Small Weapon attack utilized during their previous turn.

Effect: This technique may be used in one of two ways during the Main Phase, declared at the time of use.

Single Target: Select one Small Weapon in the user's inventory. This technique 'uses' that Small Weapon and deals its damage plus half of the base damage of the Small Weapon Attack that missed the opponent during their previous turn. This is modified as if it were a Ranged Weapon attack.

Multi-Target: Select one Small Weapon in the user's inventory(this technique 'uses' that weapon) and one Thrown Small Weapon that failed to strike its target during the user's previous turn. This technique has two strikes that each must possess a unique target. The first strike deals damage equal to that of the used Small Weapon; the second strike deals damage equal to that of the previously missed technique. This is modified as if it were a Ranged Weapon attack.

Description: Shuriken Kanshō no Jutsu is an advanced technique that is typically self-taught by shinobi seeking advanced ninja tool proficiency. This technique's principle is a basic one that is difficult to properly exercise; after failing to successfully strike a target with a single thrown weapon(sometimes intentionally), the user will throw a second weapon and use the first to rebound from and catch an opponent off-guard. Sometimes, two weapons are made to collide such that they would then individually strike two differing targets.

Hakkō Ryūsei | 白光流星 | White Light Falling Star

Type: Ninjutsu - Taijutsu [ Style-less | Void | Weapon: Shortsword | Hijutsu; Hatake ]

Rank: Jōnin

Cost: 170 Chakra + 170 Stamina

Damage: 300

Effect: This technique deals additional damage equal to the total number of bonus stats granted by the 'White Chakra Release' attribute of a weapon used to perform this technique. After this technique has resolved, that weapon's 'White Chakra Release' attribute is treated as if it instead granted +0 Stats for the remainder of combat. Hakkō Ryūsei has an additional +20% chance to Critically Strike. When a character purchases this technique, they may declare the weapon type 'x' at the time of purchase; this technique may only be performed with a weapon possessing the 'White Chakra Release' attribute.

Description: In the wake of the White Fang, many Hatake clan members have found themselves searching for new and inventive ways to exploit the natural flexibility of their White Chakra. One Hatake Kōsaku in particular found himself inspired by a whimsical divination and sought to finally express the full breadth of the clan's unique chakra in a single master stroke. Thus was Hakkō Ryūsei born- a technique whose destructive ability stands apart from the usual guile and strategy of the Hatake Clan. Users of the Hakkō Ryūsei will force their White Chakra to surge through their weapon as it crashes down upon its target, releasing it upon contact in the form of a bolt of pale lightning. This technique often sees the surrounding landscape cratered, but its power comes at the expense of both the user and their weapon. Some weapons entirely shatter, though most advanced users simply find their White Chakra depleted and unable to to again be utilized for several hours.

Special Attributes:

Married Blades

Effect: This ability may be activated in the Setup Phase and may only be activated if Manzoku has been destroyed during this combat. Reduce the level of Kōkai and Manzoku by 50% of their current value for the remaining duration of combat; Manzoku is then equipped and treated as if it were not ‘destroyed’. Cost: 700 両

Attributes: +180 Accuracy [White Chakra Release] | Unique | Razor Edge | Defend: 1 | Ward: 1

Description: Forged by the now prolific business mogul Aragane Tsutomu as his final project before casting aside Blacksmithing, Kōkai is a masterpiece of a blade. It takes the form of a short but thick Dao, possessing only one edged side that curves slightly backward; the blade’s coloration is distinctively black, contrasted only by the white shine of a yang configuration splitting its center. Though the blade has no proper guard, its thickness is enough to turn away most attacks before they would reach its wielder’s hands. Kōkai was named as a symbol to regret Tsutomu casting off his regrets and vowing only to move forward in life; it was forged as part of a pair of married blades alongside the contrasting Manzoku. As a piece of the married blades, Kōkai may sacrifice some of its own strength to allow Manzoku to continue fighting even after it has been destroyed.

If this effect would cause Manzoku’s level to fall below 25, it may not be activated.

Cost: 450 両

Balance of Satisfaction

Effect: Whenever a character fails a Response Phase technique used against an attack made utilizing Manzoku, that attack deals critical damage.

Cost: 500 両

Attributes: +80 Taijutsu, +40 Ninjutsu, + 60 Accuracy(White Chakra Release) | Unique | Razor Edge | Defend:  | Ward: 1

Description: Another of the final blades forged by Aragane Tsutomu, Manzoku is named to symbolize his casting off of satisfaction. It was the belief of Tsutomu that without cumbersome satisfaction, he could rise to heights unseen by his fellow clansmen. Manzoku is the contrasting blade married to Kōkai, possessing a pearly white hue divided by a lance of black down its center, stemming from a yin symbol. Similarly to Kōkai, Manzoku possesses no guard and is forged with such a thickness that it typically turns away any blades that would target the wielder’s hands. As a piece of the married blades, Manzoku may sacrifice some of its own strength to allow Kōkai to continue fighting even after it has been destroyed.

Character is ready to be approved! The White Chakra Release skill is crossed out because I'm not going to take it until I make his clan weapon(s), which will be soon... but I don't wanna reformat it later.

- Small fix on JP that I pointed out on discord. 16-30 is 15 levels or 30 points, not 14 levels. Keep an eye out on this on other player's sheet in the future. Small error, but we should make sure to look for it as its easy to make.

- A character who uses character compatibility and gets money from a previous character should not also get the starting money from starting above level 0. This will need to be clarified better in character compatibility rules.

- EXP looks good for a %100 transfer. Aragane Shun had a total of 12,509 from logs.

- 7301両 from liquidated items

- 580両 from Aiketsu
- 865両 from Mahōka
- 465両 from Ea
- 415両 from Akihime
- 365両 from Hai-ō
